The hotel is clean and beautiful and staff are wonderful and helpful. I was hoping we would get a room upgrade due to it being a VIP hotel but it didn’t happen- staff said because they’re all fully booked. Overall I would stay here again. The only thing I didn’t like was the strong perfume smell in the hallway and lobby.

There is no lack of superlatives for this hotel, starting with the pleasant, professional, capable staff, to its supreme cleanliness and superb design and appointments. Last but not least, the chef is a genius. The best food I had in Portugal.

Most things were fab (food, cocktails, bar staff, pool etc!) Reception staff not helpful/rude was told to get my own ice from the bar for example. They also didn’t bring up any of our VIP awards / perks.
