This was a very disappointing hotel experience.
1. No customer service on weekends.
If you follow the online check-in process provided by the hotel before arrival, you’ll receive the main gate and room PIN codes — but you cannot check in early. There’s no customer service available on weekends.
2. Limited free lockers.
Although the hotel offers free lockers, there are not many. If you arrive with two large luggage’s, you’ll likely find there’s not enough space to store them. I experienced this problem myself, but thankfully, I met a kind cleaner who allowed me to leave my luggages in their storage room. I truly appreciate her kindness.
3. Very small room.
The room was extremely small — it was impossible to open two luggages flat on the floor.
4. Bathroom issues.
The bathroom ventilation fan didn’t work. The shower had strong water pressure, but the showerhead holder was loose, so once the water was turned on, the spray hit the opposite wall directly.
5. Electrical problems (the worst part).
At night, the power went out — twice. If I hadn’t known how to reset it myself, I would have spent the entire night without electricity. Again, there was no customer service available on weekends to help.
I chose this hotel mainly because of its price and the convenient walking distance to Porto’s main attractions, but other than that, I can’t say there was anything satisfying about my stay.
