Great location, pleasant staff.

The guest house is very centrally located in the Ribeira area and the room was spacious, lean and the bed was comfortable. The price was a steal. The staff were very nice to deal with and breakfast was delicious. Excellent coffee. My room was on the third floor and there was no lift so got a bit of exercise in as well. I knew this was the case when I booked so was prepared for it. Because it is central and on a busy street, it is noisy but I felt the location more than made up for that.

Great location, cafe and staff!

Great location, super close to the river and lots of other attractions. Amazing staff and cafe right in the hotel. I loved the stone walls in the room and simple decor! Kitchenette was a bonus but I didn’t use it. Too many great food options around! Only downfall was the noise from the street but that’s hard to avoid when you are so close to “the action” I highly recommend this place!

It’s situated right above the tunnel / road into Porto, so all the cars, motorbikes and traffic noise is right in your room as right below your window. So when you look out it’s like a mini motorway! The windows would need to be double glazed? Bathrooms could do with an update. Breakfast was amazing and staff friendly.

Fabulous position, lovely and comfortable room, super breakfast and no key access to property and room made life easy Only problem had more to do with our ages and fitness level! We were on 4th floor so 72 steps each time (no lift) Tricky with suitcases. Small kitchenette had no dish cloth or tea towel, also only one coffee mug + no coffee etc on arrival although we were given coffee, milk and sugar when we asked. Very enjoyable stay right by the river

Great location, and walkable area. Cars/street noise can be loud, but dies down by 11pm. I recommend getting the breakfast option, it was delicious and worth it. Overall, great for the location and price.

Location is convenient but very noisy since the property locate on the main big street. Breakfast is good. Be aware of AC/heat are climate control so it’s very inconvenient. The night before checked out water dripping have to wait until the morning since there wasn’t service available.

Lovely, small charming (9 room) boutique hotel above their own cafe. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. (I had room 9 on the top floor with two bedrooms (one queen one king). 6 floor walk up.

Good location and breakfast but no elevator

The location is very good and central. I am able to walk to all the tourist spots and feel safe. The breakfast was great and I enjoyed it and looking forward to it every morning. The room is spacious and clean. There is no elevator so I have to carry my big luggage on the stairs to my room. There is also no one clean my room throughout my 5 nights stay at the hotel. These are the reasons I only give 4 stars. I will stay here again when I visit Porto. I will also recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The room was spacious, equipped with a kitchen, utensils, and toiletries, which made it feel like a home away from home. The breakfast, which was included, was quite good, and the staff were very accommodating. The hotel itself is chic and beautiful, and it’s conveniently located near the bridge, a popular tourist spot. I also appreciated that the drop-off point was right in front of the hotel, so I didn’t have to walk far. My only complaint is that there’s no elevator, and my room was on the fourth floor. It was my mistake not to check about this before booking, but climbing up those stairs did leave me winded every time. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for older guests.

Our room at My Ribeira Guest House was the perfect stay for a couple of days in Porto. It was very cozy, yet hip. The provided turntable was a very nice extra touch. We listened to Fado and old Disco while the light rain splattered outside. We had everything closeby at a walking distance; the river and bridge, the old town, shops and restaurants. The staff also pointed us in the direction of the neighborood of Aforada, where we ate incredible seafood in a small-town setting. Highly recommended.

Great value for the price!

Great experience! Very friendly host, wonderful cafe on the ground floor for breakfast (owned by same people), great location. It is right next to the tunnel, so while there is some road noise, the shutters close on the french doors and it blocks it out well. The view of the river and fortress across the way is very nice!! 10/10

Expectations

Great stay in a hostel (albergue) setting, reception personnel excellent. Choose private rooms it’s not expensive and you get privacy. Bus stop is 5 to 10 min walk from rooms. Things to consider taking waterproof shoes, light rain coat and an umbrella. Awesome place wouldn’t miss this trip. Thanks to the staff!!!!!

Small character hotel in the heart of the historic

what a wonderful character hotel on the edge of the old time and a short stroll from the river. The staff were fabulous, with breakfast being served in the small cafe below. There are however tow down sides, all rooms are reached by stairs with no lift and we struggled to carry or cases to the third floor. There is quite a bit of road noise as the hotel is situated at the mouth of the road tunnel. This said we would definitely return, a little gem. Next door is a brilliant wine bare (The Wine Box’ serving excellent wine and food, they also offer tasting sessions, a must for your visit. Hotel arranged an airport transfer for 30 euros 👍

Lovely stay at Porto

Staff is super sweet and will help with any inquiry you have. The Studio Room, is pretty and super functional with a small kitchen. Property is clean and the bed is comfy. Downstairs on the first floor you have a lovely coffyshop/bar where you can have you breakfast, if you do wish to have it included in your reservation. The location is perfect, just a street away from the riverside.
