There was construction going on on the 2nd floor right above our room the banging was awful. Next morning went to leave hall door was lock couldn’t get to lobby went out walk around building from entrance was locked doors didn’t open til 7 If they knew about the construction why did they give us the room right underneath it

I booked this hotel because it was rated 8.4/10, but it's 6-7/10 at best. The hotel pictures do not match the true condition of the hotel...it looks nicer than it is. Our room had, no phone, the lamp was on the floor, the remote was dirty, and the bathroom amenities were limited. There was also no hair dryer. The continental breakfast was basic, nothing special, and the coffee was horrible! I wanted to check out immediately upon arrival and go to another hotel. The staff was great and it looks like a family run business. But you get what you pay for so if you're looking for cheap, this is your hotel.

The Casco Bay Inn is currently undergoing some renovation, but this doesn't detract from accessibility or services. The staff is friendly and helpful. Across the street is a brew pub with a light fare menu. A bit further down Rt 1 is a great custard stand; approx. 1/8 mile. This location is modestly priced and conveniently located to Freeport.

If I knew the hotel was under renovation I would not have booked it, plus their version of breakfast was not what is normal in most hotels. Cold cereal and bagels with mini muffins. Hard boiled eggs that who know how long they were there for.. Definitely not what we were expecting.

We got there early and there was only one car in the hotel. Asked if we could check in early and was told by a man that was mopping that the hotel was completely full and we had to come back at 4:00. Got back at 4:00 and still looked closed. Only one same car in parking lot. Did not feel safe and cancelled the reservation.
