A very special and unique place to stay

We arrived for a 2 night stop over and didn’t want to leave. The space itself is quite remarkable and unique. So much attention to making sure that guests have lots to do. The private beach is a little on the inaccessible side, but well worth the trip down. The walk over the cliffs to Alvor beach and caves is wonderful. Ali, his son and friendly dog are perfect hosts. Lots to draw and paint too. Would highly recommend

Before arriving, there was great communication from the owner. I planned to arrive late in the evening and he was ready for me when I got to the property. The view from my room was spectacular. I had a balcony on which I was able to eat breakfast (an extra charge, but it was delivered to my room and was fantastic.) The sunrise over the water was divine and I couldn't wait to walk down to the beach to see the water up close. If you want access to the beautiful Algarve region, this is a great hotel to visit. Also, on the property: tennis courts, a pool, a game room, quiet spaces, and outdoor benches to view the water. I immediately regretted not booking more time at this fabulous resort.

Roligt hotel med fantastisk beliggenhed

Da vi ankom blev vi varmt modtaget af ejeren. Der bliver skrevet en del om vejenes tilstande til hotellet, men vores Fiat 500 kunne sagtens klare det. Hotellet har en fantastisk beliggenhed, lige ude til havet. Hvis man ønsker at benytte den fine semi-private strand, så skal man dog være frisk på fødderne. Til gengæld ligger hotellet kun 10 minutters let gang fra den flotteste strand Praia da Prainha. Poolen er ikke noget specielt, så man skal vælge hotellet hvis man gerne vil benytte strandene. Terrassen med solstole har den vildeste udsigt ud over havet og Lagos by. Værelset var fint, men vi døjede desværre med lugtgener fra badeværelset. Det største minus var sengen, en queensize boksmadras uden en ordentlig topmadras, der var ukomfortabel. Vi diskuterede stemningen på hotellet. Hotellets flotte og store fællesarealer kan virke øde, på grund af hotellets størrelse og antallet af værelser/gæster. Ønsker man at have store arealer for sig selv og ro omkring sig, er dette hotel en hidden gem.
