Lovely, cozy and peaceful stay. The kitchen was stocked with essentials which made a huge difference for our late arrival and was very thoughtful. The view and area was lovely. They gave us some activity recommendations which were also helpful!

Magical getaway!

We had a wonderful time and were thrilled to stay at the windmill. The accommodations were perfect, the kitchen was well stocked, and it was evident that the host Patricia has put a lot of loving care in to making sure the guests are happy and comfortable. Will look forward to coming back.

Very cute place!

The property is very well put together, very clean and beautiful decor. We enjoyed looking at the pictures of the mill being renovated in the two photo albums. The kitchen was also stocked with a few groceries which was a nice surprise.The somewhat covered area outside with the hammocks was nice to sit in. It is very quiet and peaceful, with lots of space.It is a tight turn to get into the property, our little rental car did it no problem though. If you rent a bigger car it could be a concern.The bathroom area was a little musty but it didn't really bother us. The rest of the house was completely fine. A different place we rented at the other end of the island was more musty and humid, so it might be a factor to a varying degree wherever you stay.You can see the sunset directly if you stand at one end of the property.It was a very special place to stay in!

Exellent place..

Very nice outside to stay and enjoy it. With all the decorations in the buildings you feel at home. As a couple you lose a little bit of your privacy if you stay with another friend.

Beautiful relaxed honeymoon spot

The home is even more beautiful than the pictures. Stunning! The traditional kitchen was fun and the location was quiet and romantic. Close enough by car to many good spots. Was a perfect start to our honeymoon! If I did it again I would spend our entire trip here :)

Magical stay!

We cannot thank The Da Bibi in Candelaria Mill enough for a magical honeymoon and wonderful stay! The mill had everything we needed, with many thoughtful touches including essentials in the fridge, embroidered linens, and opportunities to learn about the history of the mill and cook in traditional settings. It was clean and tidy, the garden was beautifully maintained. This is a great central location for exploring the island. The views and sunsets are unforgettable and we are very grateful to have had the opportunity to stay here and hope we will return again one day soon! Thank you!

This windmill and the whole property are so beautiful. It’s cozy and quiet and very well stocked. The owners were so accommodating and there if you needed anything. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for something different.

Spezieller Aufenthalts-Ort auf abwechslungsreicher Insel

Die alte Windmühle bietet eine spezielle Unterkunft mit sehr schönem und grossem Umschwung. Leider konnten wir wegen des Wetters/Windes kaum draussen sitzen. Da der Hauptwohnraum im Parterre, resp. im Untergeschoss ist, hat man keinen direkten Blick auf die Umgebung. Dies ist ein Nachteil des Turms. Die steile Treppe zum obersten Bett ist für ältere Personen oder eher unsportliche Personen ist der Turm ungeeignet, bei einer Miete muss man sich dessen bewusst sein. Das Doppelbett im 1. Stock ist relativ schmal und für zwei Erwachsene sehr knapp. Leider störten Hunde mit lang andauerndem Gebell am frühen Morgen die sonstige Ruhe in der Umgebung. Dies war schlimmer als die angekündigten Vögel, welche unter dem Turmdach hausen. Generell eine spannende Unterkunft, mit Vor- und Nachteilen, die je nach Wünschen und Erwartungen berücksichtigt werden müssen. Für abenteuerlustige, das besondere suchende Personen ein tolles Erlebnis.

Liebevoll restauriertes historisches Gebäude in wunderbarem Ambiente

Ich wurde am Flughafen schon von der Vermieterin (in gutem Englisch) empfangen, im Kühlschrank waren ein paar lokale Begrüßungs-Snacks. Die Vermieterin, in deren Regie auch die Restauriereung der Mühle durchgeführt wurde, macht Ihre Sache offenichtlich mit Herzblut. Eine Freundin der Familie, die gleich in der Nachbarschaft wohnt kümmert sich um einen, wenn doch mal was nicht klappen sollte. Mit einem Smartphone (WLAN im Haus) kann man wunderbar mit den genannten Ansprechpartnern kommunizieren. Ein kleiner Supermarkt um die Ecke hat alles zum täglichen Leben notwendige. Ich fand´s genial und habe die perfekte Mischung aus persönlicher Betreuung und gesunder Distanz sehr genossen. Die Mühle ist eine sehr besondere Immobilie, die vielleicht nicht jedermanns Geschmack trifft (über den lässt sich ja nicht streiten...). Ich kann eine Auszeit in dieser "kleinen Burg" nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Ich war bewusst "off-season" (Ende Oktober) da - ist auch nicht jedermanns Sache, aber wer eine echte Auszeit in einer mit Hingabe renovierten Mühle in ländlichem Ambiente sucht, der wird hier bestens bedient!
