Beautiful view of the pool and beach from balcony. While not in the heart of Phu Quoc, it was nice to be a short distance away in the quiet and was a cheap taxi to anywhere. Still had easy access to shops, atms, night markets. The hotel and surrounds were very clean and well-landscaped. Staff were very friendly. I had the half-board option and it was a three course meal either lunch or dinner. Food was delicious. Pool bar was great and foam party and entertainment for kids was great. Rooms were well-equipped and house cleaning was wonderful. Definitely recommend Best Western Sonasea.

This hotel is very nice to look at, very clean...but very dull. Its clinical in its presentation and it doesnt have much of the vietnamese culture included. In other words this hotel could be put anywhere in the world and it will fit in enough. Its also quite a distance from anywhere with character. Luckily taxis are so cheap in this country. The staff, i found to be okay but you will find much better hospitality elsewhere in vietnam. The island is definitely worth visiting and was the highlight of my trip.

The staff is what makes this property exceptional - warm, inviting, with a personal attention and care for you and your family. By-name greetings throughout the property, no shortage of attention or a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure a pleasing stay. I was impressed upon our arrival, but when they surprised my wife with a personalized treat for her birthday, unprompted, it was then I decided I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone visiting Phu Quoc.

Our room was spacious and clean. We traveled with 2 kids. So space is a must. And this hotel did not disappoint. The staff was very helpful esp. the young lady that works in the kids area.😊 we leave the kids there for an hour so me and husband can get our massage. The massage place was like few steps away from the kids area.. Before leaving the kids you are required to sign in your info. Just incase of emergency. My kids are like 5 and 8 so they are not like hard to watch.. they made crafts,coloring and play video games... one more thing! Breakfast buffet was super good😉 definitely will be back in the future😊

We had such a wonderful experience here! From the moment we were picked up by the shuttle all the way to check out. The service was amazing! Everyone was friendly and helpful. We had a birthday in our group but didn’t let anyone know and yet they still surprised us with a slice of cake and a handwritten card. It was such a thoughtful gesture. I feel like the bathrooms could be a little cleaner, the corners and walls need a scrubbing. The hallways need some air conditioning and an air fresher since it was a bit stale. Overall the rooms were big and comfortable. The breakfast buffet had an amazing variety! The pools were great too! The beach was alright. There was some trash in the water but that’s on the guests for not practicing “leave no trace”. Highly recommend the hotel!

We had a great time and will definitely come back. I like the conscience of having a laundromat/convenient store literally cross the street was great for my family. I do want to praise all the friendly staff, Especially Long in the breakfast area. We have a vegetarian member in our group and he came and talk to her ensuring she has vegetarian foods. And Thao who helped us check out was super nice a well. I honestly want to praise many staff members however, I didn’t catch their names. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel our accommodation. What we thought was a more than reasonable situation to request an advanced exemption for a refund due to a very recent health diagnosis, we were surprisingly declined. Very disappointed with the outcome as it was unexpected and far from ideal given our circumstances.

Excellent!

Hotel did not disappoint. Very good location as in between places we wanted to visit. Shops, eateries and market just over road. Helpful staff who helped when our flight out was cancelled. All in all a good hotel to stay at.

Staff is friendly and rooms are clean but…

Our first night we arrived we were out in a suite with no functioning air conditioning. We told staff right away because it was reading 29° in the room and it was so stuffy. They sent an engineer to fix it but did not fix anything in the end. After three attempts to fix it and several hours later we requested to be switched to another room. We asked to speak with a manager and we kept getting promised that they would make that happen but it never happened until I reached out to The hotels app customer service… All of a sudden they were able to get a hold of the manager and we were put into a new room within 30 minutes. We were asked by the manager what they can offer in order to make things right in our eyes. I suggested that because we lost out on our first nights plans due to the issues with the air conditioning, I suggested one free night at the hotels expense to make up for our plants having to be canceled for the initial night and the Manager said they will have to talk with the GM. The GM declined it which is disappointing because I thought it was a very fair request. In the end, we were switched to another room that was a slight upgrade in size.

Night market right across where you have plenty of food choices....lots of seafood and rolled ice cream! Very helpful in helping us rent a motor bike to tour the island. Easy access to beach. We even did a candle making workshop. Great mini vacation for us!
