Don’t do it.
My family & I stayed here while driving my brother’s car down to Pensacola, hoping to make a vacation out of it. The location was great, and the pictures looked decent—but the reality was very disappointing.Upon check in, the place seemed decent but then we started noticing the floors were filthy & sticky, grease splatter on the appliances, old coffee grounds left in the coffee maker. The “curtains” were literally folded pieces of paper taped to the window-no rod, couldn’t pull them up. The bedding smelled awful and clearly hadn’t been cleaned, and the towels smelled like cigarette smoke. We had just driven 16 hours and ended up sleeping on our beach towels because the sheets were dirty.I reached out to the “property manager” aka owner, who blamed the cleaning crew “not making it” and promised a deep clean. He offered to pay for us to go to lunch while they cleaned, but I asked if that money could go toward new sheets instead (there’s no washer or dryer and I wanted to be confident we were getting clean sheets). I thought okay, he’s trying to make it right. Came back to find the same old sheets, only laundered & still smelly. Night 2, my brother joined us-when he went to bed, the frame collapsed under my him because it wasn’t bolted properly and had broken slats. I texted the owner that night with photos—no reply to date. Here’s the icing on the cake the sheet slipped off the master mattress, I discovered brown stains all over the mattress along with blood stains.
