This gorgeous 2 bed ground floor apartment opens directly onto the beautiful Paynes Bay Beach and can be rented either as one bedroom or two. The only ground floor apartment in these condos to have stunning sea views from both living area & luxurious master bedroom, it is beautifully furnished with all home comforts including a fully equipped Italian kitchen, 2 luxury en suites & separate powder room, air-conditioning and ceiling fans, fast wireless internet, cable TV and 24 hour security. We offer maid service three days per week, free of charge. There are many superb restaurants either within walking distance or just a short taxi ride away, or of course, simply enjoy a meal in the apartment's private garden, listening to the sea and tree frogs! Cool off in your own private spa pool. Water sports are readily available from the beach. Swim out to the turtles or simply enjoy a stunning walk to Sandy Lane, the next bay north.


Security: There is a 24 hour security guard on site. The property has a lockable gate to the beach, and electrically operated gates on the road side. The security guards are very helpful, and are responsible for putting out beach chairs and parasols belonging to the apartments.

Apartment Management: Our managing agents are very reputable and long established on the island. They are always contactable if there should be any queries or problems. A health and safety book with all relevant telephone numbers can be found in the apartment for your perusal.


The Beach: Although we have our own private sun beds on the beach, please note that no beaches in Barbados are private. Paynes Bay is a lively & popular beach with all water sports available to hire. Simply swim out to snorkel with the turtles, or if you prefer, take a very short boat trip.

As amazing as ever!

I'm starting to lose count how many times we've stayed here now, but there is a reason that we keep coming back here and that's because it's Paradise! The apartment is decorated to such a high standard and it's beautifully kept, if I could steal the bed I would as it's even more comfortable than my own (when is that ever true when you stay away from home?!). This year we spent a lot of time relaxing on the beach, people watching and drinking rum, the perfect escape from every day life, just what we needed! Jasmine is so lovely, she took such good care of us and will always find time to have a chat, plus her cooking is amazing, you couldn't wish for a better housekeeper! The security team who are led by Romeo are always on hand and do so much more than you would expect them to, they really are great! Everything was perfect and our next booking is already made....November 2014 can't come soon enough! :-) Thank you!

Fantastic Girls Vacation Spot!

We rented Karen's place in July 2016, a week before crop over for a girls getaway trip, and had the best time ever! This place is stunning and it's right on the beach, just a few steps away. As four women traveling alone, we always felt safe and secure with a security guard at the front gate ready to accommodate us for booking taxi's or just getting general info. The suite itself was nicely decorated, open, airy and bright. We were greeted by our friendly concierge, Kerrie from Blue Sky Vacations on arrival. She was extremely professional, warm and welcoming and had everything that we needed printed out and neatly arranged for us to go over. We even had a decanter of Barbados Rum as a welcome toast. Jasmine our cook was amazing! She felt like our aunt or mom fussing over us and ready to provide whatever meal we wanted. We just had to let her know and she would write down the ingredients for us, which she could pick up or we could just go a short distance up the road (by bus or walk) to the local grocery store. Either way we were fed very nicely. She would come in the morning at whatever time we needed her to prepare breakfast and lunch. Steven and Romeo the two security guards were exceptional! They were always friendly, and happy to answer any number of questions we had. Romeo even took the time one evening to give us a ride a short distance away to the store, thats how helpful they were! Our days usually started with going out to the beach (we always had fresh beach towels) then coming back for breakfast and lounging by the private plunge pool for a bit. Even the guys on the beach selling jet skis or paddle board rides were extremely polite and discrete. They didn't pester us, just greeted us daily and politely asked if we were interested today, but then went about their business without any annoyances. I really liked that beach since it was fairly quiet and we always had our beach chairs available. Riding the local buses were a trip! They were packed, and some loud with music, but always safe to ride. We generally took them to go up to the grocery store and few times to go into Bridgetown. All in all this was a fantastic choice for a vacation rental. Close enough to town and local shops, but secluded enough for a really nice relaxing vacation. Great for families or couples. We highly, highly recommend staying here, and would love to book this again!.

Loved the condo, the pool, how it was beachfront. Perfect vacation for our family. We split our vacation in two between an all inclusive at the beginning and this home at the end, and this was easily the best part of our trip.

Great condo in an incredible location

This was not our first visit to Barbados but our first time in the Mahogany Tree and staying on the west coast. The condo is just as advertised. Beautifully appointed, spacious and extremely clean. The unit is on the ground floor and we found that very convenient to walking back and forth to the beach. The patio also provided privacy due to a hedgerow and the location of the unit in the building. We pretty much lived on the patio when we weren’t on the beach. Coral Cove Villas is directly on Paynes Bay Beach which is a stunning stretch of beach. There is a convenient beach bar within a very short walk, and any Watersports you may want is being offered on the beach. The location to shops and restaurants is also a big plus. The staff at the building are so professional and friendly. They go out of their way to accommodate any of your needs. Jasmine the housekeeper is such a nice person. She takes great care of the unit and is a very good cook. She was also very responsive to any requests we had. I can’t say enough good things about the Mahogany Tree and Coral Cove Villas. I would highly recommend a visit.

The Mahogany Tree is a beautiful property so perfectly located on a fabulous beach.

We have just returned from a fabulous holiday staying at the Mahogany Tree. It is beautifully furnished with a fully equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly need. The bathrooms are immaculate and very modern and the bedrooms are very comfortable and so well furnished. It is really quite luxurious. The location is perfect. Literally on the amazing Paynes Bay Beach. We were there with our two teenage daughters and this location suited us all. There is privacy and peace in the garden and if you want a little activity, the catamarans stop just on the water nearby most days for a while. If you fancy jet skiing etc. it's all there, but if you want to relax, you are left alone to chill on the beach. We did not feel hassled at all. The concierge Romeo and his team were superb, they are there 24 hours a day and will help you with any issues at all. We felt extremely relaxed knowing they were on hand at any time. Nothing is too much trouble for them at all. Jasmine the housekeeper is also very helpful and is a fabulous cook. She cooked West Indian curry for us and also catered for my daughter who is vegetarian making her gorgeous food. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending The Mahogany Tree. You would be guaranteed a perfect holiday in a perfect spot - heaven!!!

Stunning location BUT oversold as 5 px not 4, Construction noise next door. Wasn't up to standard

It is with regret that I write this review as I had high hopes for our stay at this property. What I am able to say is that the location is truly stunning however you actually pay not just for location but for suitable and relaxing accommodation and this is where this property falls short of the mark. At the time the property was listed as accommodating 5 persons. We were a party of 5 so should have been great right? the property is quite obviously configured for just 4 persons with one reasonable size double bedroom and one small double bedroom. The 5th person is not accommodated in a permanent or 'proper' bed, it is a hired in camp style bed plonked in one of the bedrooms. If the accommodation was advertised for 4 persons and not 5 then fair enough but it wasn't and therefore was an uncomfortable stay for the 5th person. Our reason for staying was for a relaxing wind down in a great location however we were shocked to find a very noisy construction site just a couple of feet away where a large hotel/building was being worked on, all day noisy power tools and drills were being used so we couldn't have a nice al fresco breakfast or relax by the plunge pool, we ended up spending time at the nearby premium hotel! The accommodation itself is tired and if you want to find things is really confusing with a lot of kitchen items not working properly. The fridge had lots of other peoples items in so it didn't feel like you coming in to a fresh let, in fact it was rather chaotic, especially in the kitchen. At this price point everything should have been immaculate and anyone who wished to stay should have been advised of the construction noise, it's unacceptable to trade purely on the great location without giving the right attention to the accommodation itself and in clearly describing it. My review could have been a lot worse but I have chosen to concentrate on just a few areas, there were more.The local company the owners use to manage the let did try to be helpful in trying to sort matters out but this was on the penultimate day of our stay so effectively it was ruined and in any event the owners are ultimately responsible and I think a little more attention to detail would improve this property to the standards guests would rightly expect. I note that since our stay the owner has adjusted the maximum occupancy, eventually, shame it took us to have such a bad experience for this to happen.

A Wonderful Holiday

It was our second stay at Coral Cove but our first in Mahogany Tree. The Apartment was fantastic with everything we needed for our family holiday plus a fantastic view and the pool. The Apartment itself was spotless and nicely furnished, a home away from home. My wife had a proper break as Jasmine tidied and washed clothes for us so we were free to relax and enjoy ourselves. I would highly recommend the apartment to anyone as its location and beach side location is the best I have stayed in. The apartments themselves are well located only a short yellow bus ride from all the shops and restaurants, my kids love the buses ! We were also looked after by Romeo who provides security and assistance whenever needed. All in all we had a wonderful holiday and are looking forward to returning soon.

The Villa was everything you described it to be and even more…..the view was breathtaking every morning – afternoon – evening…amazing. Albert, the gardener was very sweet and friendly, not to mention the security…..I never had a worry in the world. And the location – what can I say about literally being steps away from such a gorgeous beach. Every morning we would have our coffee on the patio before eating breakfast and then head to the beach for a long swim to burn some of the calories. The water is crystal clear and refreshing. The plunge pool was wonderful ….. came back from the beach – had lunch and then sat in the pool before heading back to the beach. Came back and enjoyed a few drinks watching the beautiful sunset while hanging in the pool. Roz made us delicious breakfasts in the morning w/ fresh fruit and the lunches were incredible. I don’t know how she did it but she did. And her calculation for the amount of food was on the money. We asked her to cook one dinner for us, gave her our list and wella – done…what a fabulous meal we had too. I cannot thank you enough – and think I have found my new “home away from home”!

Heaven!

We spent 7 glorious days in Barbados at this beautiful apartment. There are so many highlights to mention. First, the location can not be beat. The apartment is literally steps from beautiful Paynes Bay beach. As you enter the apartment you see the vista of beach, sea, and sky. Sunsets were beautiful and every evening we had dinner on the patio looking at the water, and hearing the pounding surf. The apartment was spotless, well appointed, and having Roz cook and clean for us was fantastic! The bedrooms were comfortable and baths were of the highest quality finishes. The apartment is nearby to a great restaurant, The Cliff, which we enjoyed as a special "last night" dinner, is close to Sandy Lane for spa appointments and golf, and we found a great walking route for exercise and seeing the monkeys! We would recommend this property to friends ( and have already) and we will be back next year. Thank you so much for making your home available to us!

Mahogany Tree

Everything about the Mahogany Tree is so perfect it’s hard to know where to start?!......as soon as you arrive at the apartment you know you are in for a treat. We were greeted by Ros who made us feel so welcome, and for the next two weeks she spoilt us rotten, she helped make this our best holiday ever. The apartment itself is beautiful, its spacious and the decor is lovely and in excellent condition. The location couldn’t be better, it’s a stones throw from the beach and I could actually watch my husband having his early morning swim from the bed (which by the way is very very comfortable!)...the spa pool is an excellent addition and we received many envious glances from the other holiday makers (don’t panic if you find the odd crab in there, just fish them out and send them on their way!) We had such a great time we have already re-booked for next year, I was almost tempted not to write a review because I don’t want everyone else to find our secret!! It was our 5th time to Barbados and we now can’t imagine staying anywhere else...it's perfect! Recommended things to do - swim with the turtles before the big catamarans arrive, eat at Tides restaurant, or if that’s all too exhausting just sit back, relax and enjoy the views.

A paradise reunion...

This was the trip of a lifetime for the two of us, and everything about the apartment was perfect. It was exactly as described, if not better! Everything we had hoped for and more. The location was a dream come true, with the fabulous beach only steps away. The local area was very easy to get around, with amazing restaurants such as Lonestar, The Tides and The Cliff very close by. We sampled all of them and loved every single one. The Cliff has to be seen to be believed, a night of perfection! The sea views from the property are second to none. There was nothing better than sitting and relaxing in the plunge pool whilst watching the sunset. With a sip of rum every now and then :-) Roz was an absolute delight and there was nothing that she wouldn't do to make our stay special. The property was extremely clean, well-maintained and had everything we needed. We didn't even turn the TV on! How can you with such a stunning location on your doorstep?! The bed was extremely comfortable and the bath was delightful. Definitely swim out to see the turtles nearby - wait until the tourist boats have gone, and swim out alone, a much more personal experience. I got the surprise of 3 turtles flying past me! The customer service provided was also excellent, with every question answered and nothing left up in the air. Truly everything is catered for, just like a holiday should be! I can recommend this property to anyone looking to get away from it all and live like a King and Queen. We certainly did. We will be back to this special place, without a doubt. Thank you.

Our paradise found

From the moment we were greeted by a firm Caribbean handshake at the airport by Perry (or laughing boy as we named him) ...... we knew we were in for a great time! The attention to detail during the initial booking service was second to none - from diet and welcome pack requirements to whether we needed a car - or as it happened in our case - a bike! When the solid mahogany front door opened, we were met by what can only be described as 'the dream view' - we felt as though we could literally touch the warm Caribbean sea from where we were standing. Rosalind, our housekeeper for the week, was also there to greet us - and on hand all trip to prepare meals, to give endless help, advice and knowledge, and to act as our saviour when lost on the bike, 10 miles from home! The apartment is 100% as described, and delivered everything we could want from our holiday without the kids - from the most comfortable bed in a room with fabulous views, to the fantastically equipped kitchen and lounge. We were also very impressed with the on site security guards, who were always happy to help. The beach is wide and stunning - endless golden sand and turquoise blue sea where you can swim out to the turtles, and plenty of private sun loungers to use. Walking past Sandy Lane, we couldn't help feeling we had got the real deal! The Cliff restaurant, which was only a short walk away, was our pick of the restaurants - but you are spoilt for choice with Holetown close by. If you feel you need a pick-you-up, then this is the place! We have returned tanned and totally relaxed. And, would we return? Without a doubt!!

Mahogany Tree Paradise

"This property is perfect in every way. It has all the comforts of a first class hotel with all the benefits of a private home. The apartment is large and spacious with excellent air conditioning and ceiling fans. The views from the master bedroom and the main living room are spectacular - looking at the beach and turquoise sea. The master bedroom is beautifully furnished with a huge and extremly comfortable bed and there is a large walk-in wardrobe with more than enough space for anyone. The bathrooms are marble and are very luxurious with huge white fluffy towels. Ros, the housekeeper is wonderful- nothing is too much trouble and she caters for your every need with a smile. Breakfast was served each morning on the terrace and Ros is happy to make anything you fancy. Each day she cleans the apartment and ensures an endless supply of fresh towels for the bathrooms and the beach. On the beach there are loungers and umbrellas reserved for the apartment and if you fancy a change of scenery the pool and jacuzzi on the terrace is private and a great place to cool down. The apartment is very conveniently situated close to the famous Sandy Lane Hotel and many restaurants and shops. An excellent property and a wonderful holiday I would recommend to anyone. "
