The apartment greets you immediately with its decor and attention to detail giving you the warm, safe and cosy felling you are used to when you are in your own home.
This bright, sunny flat consists of two confortable good-sized bedrooms, a cosy and spacious living room and two newly fitted bathrooms with shower. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, with oven, dishwasher, plus plenty of pots and pans if you get in the mood for cooking.
The bedrooms are quiet and tastefully decorated with plenty of storage space. The living room is equipped with a comfortable sofa bed which can be easily pulled out into a bed that promises a good night’s sleep. The flat sleeps up to 5 people.
In just a few minutes walk you can reach some of the major places of cultural and tourist interest in the city.
You would be less than 10 minutes walk of: Abatellis palace, home to Sicilian Regional Gallery, Sant’Anna Gallery of Modern Art,Church of San Francesco d’Assisi, Magione, with its Arab - Norman architecture and many others.

- TOURIST TAX € 2 per person per night. Tax is due for the first 4 consecutive nights. The tax shall be paid cash on arrival. -In the courtyard behind the apartment there is a bar that offers international breakfast each morning. As evening falls, it transforms into a cozy tapas bar, where you can unwind with a refreshing cocktail or savor a tasty dinner. - Anyone who is planning to drive in Palermo's historic centre needs to be aware of Restricted Traffic Areas, or Zona Traffico Limitato in Italian, abbreviated to ZTL. The old town centre has set up these limited traffic zones in order to reduce congestion and pollution, and there are significant fines for driving into one of these zones unauthorized.
No cars without permits can be allowed in this area. So, If you are planning on driving in the historic center of Palermo, make sure you inform me about that, so I can tell you where to take your 5-euros daily entrance ticket and how to activate it in order to get in the city centre without getting fined.

Perfect Palermo, Perfect Apartment

My wife and I spent 5 nights in Palermo and stayed at this charming apartment. From the moment we decided to book, our host Chiara was helpful, polite, and accommodating. We altered our booking, asked questions, sought advice about the city, and each time Chiara showed patience and professionalism. It is fair to say that Palermo might not be everyone’s cup of tea, however, we simply fell in love with the city and had a truly wonderful break. A large part of this was due to the location, comfort, and cleanliness of Chiara’s apartment. It is so handy for all the main attractions, whilst still feeling like a quiet residential retreat. It has a homely warmth and lets you feel relaxed and comfortable after a day of sightseeing or a night sampling Palermo’s amazing food and nightlife.In summary, if you are considering visiting Palermo, don’t think twice. If you do visit, don’t stay anywhere else, this place is perfect.

Wonderful from check in to check out. Great location, peaceful, close to authentic restaurants and walking distance to many attractions. As a working holiday the accommodation was suitable with sufficient internet connectivity and work space. No need to look further.

Beautiful apartment!

This is a beautifully decorated place in the historical district of Palermo. It had everything that we needed, however we did need to purchase extra toilet paper and soap. Great A/C, wifi and amenities. Chiara met us for check in and was so helpful providing a map and recommendations for the area. She was always excellent with communication. Unfortunately, the washing machine broke while we were there and she had a technician there to fix it the next day and even took our clothes and washed and dried them herself to return to us prior to our departure. Take advantage of her offer to provide prearranged taxi service to and from the airport. It was so helpful! Great restaurants close by, and location was perfect! I highly recommend!!

Spacious apartment in charming neighborhood

We enjoyed this comfortable, spacious apartment in the vibrant Kalso neighborhood for our week in Palermo. Chiara met us and gave us an orientation to the apartment and local spots. Comfortable beds, AC, balconies were nice amenities. There is a fantastic bakery just around the corner for our morning cornetti. We ate in many terrific restaurants just a few minutes stroll away. And we were able to reach the train station, waterfront, and many landmarks on foot. Would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous place!

Chiara’s place was perfect for us. It is clean, comfortable, well appointed with comfortable beds, great showers, good tv, and very secure. The location is ideal in the historic district with tons of great restaurants, bakeries, bars and sites within easy walking distance. Chiara is a perfect host- she was great to communicate with and she provided easy check-in and a good orientation to Palermo for us. It was really helpful and got us off to a good start. Highly recommended. I hope Chiara’s place is available if we come back to Palermo!

Exceptional!

We really enjoyed our four night stay at this property. The location is great, we were really glad that we rented in this area of Palermo. It is a vibrant part of town, with a lot of restaurants and really interesting artists shops all around. There is so much to discover in this area that you may miss if you're not staying there. The apartment itself is perfect...clean, comfortable, spacious and well stocked. The owner is very easy to work with and very kind and helpful to travelers. We would definitely rent this property again and we would highly recommend it to other travelers.

This was a very pleasant stay in a beautiful apartment, especially enjoyed by our group f designers. The accommodations for our two couples worked out well with separate bedrooms and bathrooms with ample kitchen and living area. The setting next to a lovely park in Kalsa and next to many historic sites . Chiara was kind to guide us to good restaurants and other places in the city. A wonderful experience. We hope to return.

Wonderful apartment very suitable for a long stay

I rented this property for five weeks and the longer I stayed the more I appreciated the location. It’s in a fascinating part of Palermo and close to the main attractions. It’s very close to restaurants and bars, but there’s no street noise reaching the apartment. Highly recommended!

Great flat. Great location and friendly helpful host.

The flat was gorgeous. Clean and spacious with everything we needed there. And the location was perfect for the main sights which were all walkable. Chiara was really warm and friendly. She gave us lots of helpful advice about getting around Palermo, good places to eat and drink and was available if we ever needed us. Nothing to fault in this appartment.

Great apartment in a great location

The apartment is very spacious, clean and decorated with interesting knickknacks throughout. It is well located, with a large number of restaurants, shops and historic sights close by. Chiara was a terrific host, arranging for transportation from the airport and meeting us outside the building. She took her time showing us how everything in the apartment worked and making recommendations on area stores and sights we should see. She also had a scrapbook in the apartment with necessary tourist information and a list of restaurants she personally recommended. Anytime we had a question about anything during our stay, I would email her and receive a prompt reply. All in all, my wife and I were very happy with our stay.

Great apartment in old town Palermo

We stayed in Chiara's apartment for a few nights in early September 2019. Chiara was very easy to communicate with and a great host throughout our stay. Chiara was kind enough to arrange a taxi to meet us at the airport, and when we left she also arranged a for a taxi from her apartment to the train station. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and exteremly well located with in the old area of Palermo. When we arrived Chiara greeted us and spent the right amount of time walking through the sights, points of interest, and several restaurant recommendation. I strongly recommend staying at Chiara's apartment, Xirba, if you visit Palermo.

Great location right in the historic district

Great location within easy walking district of the entire historic district of Palermo. Many restaurants to choose from and lots of activities close by. Very clean, strong wifi, and a/c in each room. We had a wonderful stay at Xirba. The location is perfect within the historical district. It is very comfortable with two bedrooms and two baths and a functional kitchen. We also enjoyed the small balcony overlooking the park. We could walk everywhere and the bus stop of the free shuttle is right in front of the park. We did not have any issues with noise. The new restaurant across the street had delicious authentic Italian food. Chiara was the ultimate hostess. She answered questions before our arrival, arranged taxis from the airport, and greeted us at the apartment with sweets and a packet of information to assure our welcome and enjoyment of Palermo and Sicily. She had a book of information on the sights, restaurants, maps, food specialties and answered all of our questions. She was extremely patient in trying to solve a problem after we left. She really welcome us as if we were old friends and we would definitely return!

Wonderful Palermo apartment in the heart of the Centro Storico

This apartment is every bit as good as advertised. It is quite spacious with great bedrooms and a functional kitchen. There was plenty of comfortable furniture in the living room to sit on after a long day of sightseeing. The location is great as well. I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive about staying in the Kalsa district after reading some of the guidebooks, but I’m glad to say I was wrong. The area is full of twisting, narrow streets with buildings both renovated and rundown. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. My friends and I didn’t have a bad meal at any of them. Chiara is very helpful. She met us at the apartment, showed us how everything works and gave us recommendations for restaurants and sights to visit. She even left us Sicilian pastries which were wonderful. I loved Palermo and want to return. I’d definitely stay in this apartment again.

Everything matched or surpassed the web description. Chiara arranged a taxi pickup at the airport for our party of four and her restaurant recommendations were great. Apartment is quiet but also at the center of the old city, easy walking to sights.

Great accommodation in the perfect location

This was my first stop on a month long trip to Europe and it definitely set a high bar. As a host, Chiara was easy to correspond with, she was able to arrange a taxi for both our arrival and departure as well as provide great recommendations on places to eat and things to do. We arrived late on a Saturday night (9:30 pm) and Chiara was there to personally greet us. She took the time to show us a map of Palermo and provide a ton of recommendations. She even left us some great pastries in the fridge as well as a cold bottle of water. I loved the location of the property. It was in easy walking distance to all the major tourist sites - only small downfall was the noise from the back alley. She has some pretty noisy neighbors. Oh, and don't be surprised by all the scooters zooming past at 2 am in the morning. The accommodation itself was comfortable and exactly as pictured. It has everything you need for a short stay. The bed in the master room is comfortable. The showers are a bit small, but that is to be expected from Italy. We had no issues using the washing machine and the dishwasher was a great benefit too. The sofa couch I think has seen better days and is starting to show some wear and tear, but still very comfortable and I feel asleep on it several times, so no complaints on comfortability. All in all, I would highly recommend this place to friends and family and if I was ever to come back to Palermo, this would be my go to spot!

Wonderful apartment, great location and most helpful, welcoming owner

I can't say enough about our stay at Xirba. We felt at home immediately. The location is perfect and Chiara ha wobderful, welcoming and so helpful. We felt like residents, not tourists while staying in Chiara's beautiful apartment. Chiara helped us with lost luggage which eased our minds so we could enjoy our first day without worry. Absolute wonderful choice in Palermo. Everything close by, awesome apartment, clean and spacious but most of all wonderful hostess Chiara even arranged transport to and from airport. I can't say enough about the experience at Xirba!
