Breakfast was ok. Coffee is not good. Very weak. The room was partially clean though. The sink was dirty in the kitchen area, it has dishes left in it and in the dishwasher as well which has not been run. The table had not been wiped and the floors were sticky. It does have a full size fridge which was very cold and clean. There are minimal dishes. But we were not using the kitchen so it did not matter to us. The room is sizable, lots of closet room and the price point was good. The TV was big and easy to work. The air conditioner worked well. The beds were comfy and clean. The bathroom was clean. We did not use the shower. It was very quiet and we felt very safe. For convenience and safety and excellent ample parking we would stay again. Staff was very nice and friendly.

Room 218 Best western Kincardine

Breakfast was good, home fries were getting dried out, but overall good. The problem with room 218 is you have to run approx. 3 wash basins full in the rest room before any decent warm water comes out. My wife equally said the same for the shower.

Parking was easy to find at this property. The front desk staff were friendly and professional. And at first glance, the room itself seemed great. If staying for a couple of days, it would be handy to have the in-room kitchen, which does come complete with all amenities, except for a dish towel. However, the level of cleanliness was lacking. When we took a shower we noticed the shower doors were filthy. Soap scum hadn't been washed off. There were a few bars of old soap in the shower that had been left from the previous guests. One of the holders (for shampoo) had come off the wall and just left on the counter. The air vent, which is right above your head when at the sink, is filthy. And when I was standing at the mirror to the left of the bed, I could see dirt and spider webs in the corner of the wall, all the way up to the ceiling. The manager should be conducting spot checks, to ensure the rooms are properly cleaned. Really not acceptable. The breakfast was very mediocre. We could only stomach one day. No fruit or pastries (other than bread and bagels). The jars of add-ons for the oatmeal did not look clean. The eggs were disgusting. The bacon, sub-par. I don't usually expect much from these breakfasts, but I was still very disappointed.

The photos online are outdated - the rooms are run down, floors were sticky and dirty. In my room, there was visible dirt on the bathroom floor and shower curtain. The mirror was foggy and looked like it was “cleaned” with a dirty rag. The hotel and room itself has a lingering sour/stale odour. I wouldn’t be surprised if the room itself was a previous crime scene. The walls are thin and you can hear every footstep in the hallway and above you. The bed was comfortable enough, but I slept on top of the bed because even the sheets had a strange odour. I tried to check the mattress, but the mattress cover was zip tied onto the bed so couldn’t see if there was any stains/concerns there… Unless you are absolutely desperate, don’t stay here. I don’t know how this hotel is apart of Best Western.

This property is in poor condition. It needs to be full renovated. A big sign on the building boasts that it modern it is anything but modern. I did not have anyone clean the room for the 3 days we were there. The shower stalls sill is falling apart (the drywall is disintegrating below the shower sill and there was mold). Do not stay at this location. The staff was rude and unprofessional. There is an ice machine that is so loud that you can hear it throughout the building and it dosnt even work. I had several burnt-out or missing light-bulbs. The internet was horrible it would buffer or disconnect constantly. There was rubbish and garbage everywhere outside. Breskfast was cold and limited . One of the worse hotels i have ever stayed at. I will never stay there again. I do not recommend this hotel to my enemies.
