Fough East self catering holiday home is a friendly, welcoming and quiet place to stay. With room for up to 10 guests. It takes a two-minute walk to enjoy a good pint and Irish music in Oughterard’s pubs with lovely food in the restaurants. We are located very close to the centre of Oughterard and just 27km from Galway city. Oughterard is an attractive, bustling village on the shores of one of Ireland’s premier fishing locations, Lough Corrib. The Lough is considered a trout angler’s dream. This is an ideal place to stay for touring the West of Ireland, or relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery that surrounds us.The style of the cozy rooms offered in Fough East is a mix of modern and country. All rooms are ensuite Sufficient pillows and eiderdown-blankets are standard. Children of all ages are welcome in Fough East, and babysitting can be arranged if required. Free W-Lan is provided. Perfect
House is in the perfect location, plenty of household things you need for cooking etc. Lovely owners with a gorgeous grandson who our boys enjoyed playing with. So much for the kids to do.

Family trip
We had a wonderful time. Christa was great and so kind and helpful. The house was perfect for our group of 6. It was clean, cozy, and the bedrooms and bathrooms perfect. There was plenty of room and easily could fit a couple more. The location was perfect and there was a great space to park the rental van. Over all this is a fabulous house for groups. We loved the house and the area. Thank you Christa for the warm welcome and delicious cake.

Great last leg of a trip
Rental company messed up original booking, however, the host was extraordinary. She took it in stride and made sure we were taking care of. Extremely nice lady who guaranteed we had everything we needed. House was amazing. 100% recommended.

Fough East- Wonderful Experience
The property is lovely and close to village center. It’s a short distance to two bus stops, grocery, shops, and dinning. You can walk to Lough Corrib and there is a quaint river walk for some outdoor time. Due to the traffic, you would need to take the bus or car to the golf course or castle.
The host was very accommodating and even had fresh baked scones and cinnamon cake for our arrival!

Family Holiday
Fantastic stay in Fough East. 2 min walk to the downtown. Lots of great pubs and cute shops.
Home was spotless, well appointed and host was very welcoming.
