The hotel was not the cleanest, nor in great repair - hallway light could be seen around the edge of the room's door, the door handles and the plates behind the handles, on both sides of the door, were loose (not secure), the sliding doors did not function well or fit properly (very difficult, hard, to open/close), there were broken bathroom tiles and there was dirt and mold-looking yuck in the grout, an ant was found crawling on the bathroom floor, and there was a sewer smell at times in the bathroom. The plaster on the ceiling and walls was cracked and flaking, and the wood wall behind the bed was swollen from what appeared to be previous water damage.The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were not, and the sheet was stained. There was dust on the light fixtures. On top of all of these issues, there was no condiments - cream and sugar, nor stir sticks for the coffee/tea, and when the staff member was informed, he didn't believe me and had to attend inside the room to look for himself... this seemed like offensive and petty behaviour. The clerk did bring two packages of condiments, stir sticks, and napkins into our room when we were out of the room for the evening. The included breakfast was nothing to write about... not good value!
