Comfortable apartment in amazing old town
Ostuni’s old city is a fascinating with its white walls and 15/16th century buildings. The unit is located on a hill in the ancient city and is quite comfortable when you’re inside.
Pros:
- Accommodation is ~300m to the piazza. Close enough to enjoy the activities, far away enough to be quiet and peaceful when you’re in bed.
- Accommodation is large enough to bring back dinners or make breakfasts/lunches. Enjoy them at the dining table or on the rooftop patio.
- The view of Ostuni is breathtaking and sundowners on the rooftop private patio is excellent.
- AC work well in all the rooms - very necessary in July/Aug
Cons:
- The unit is up a hill, so be ready to walk up steep roads. Also, the roads of Ostuni are unbelievably narrow - If you’re not Italian/European brace yourself for some hair-raising driving to get near the unit.
- The unit itself is on a road that Google maps struggle to locate properly and there is no parking anywhere nearby. (I suggest you park at the bottom of the old town stairs and walk the 450m uphill to the unit. This advice is for active people and you can drive to pickup others who struggle with hills.
- The kitchen is haphazardly stocked. I.e. only 1 glass per person and 1 cup per person. The showers can clog with limescale easily. Lastly, the Internet from Linkem wifi is very spotty and not very fast. We lost Internet for 1-2 days so don’t rely on it for working.
