Sustainable Country House High Level Peace Relax, wide Views Salt-Pool Cild-Safe
Enjoy a relaxing, regenerative and sustainable holiday in our holiday villa Caserio el Olivo, a very spacious penthouse holiday apartment that extends over the entire upper floor of a large Andalusian country house. All rooms are on one level and have direct access to the 40sqm sun terrace to the south with fantastic views over the garden, the valley, the mountains and the village.
The ecologically certified and completely climate-neutral property is surrounded by the evergreen mountain landscape of the unique Alpujarra, the fertile southern slopes between the Sierra Nevada and the coast, nestled between fruit, avocado, orange and hundred-year-old olive trees in an evergreen subtropical garden with large lawns, a pool area and parking directly at the house a flat land of 3.300m2. Right next door begins the wild nature, pine forests and gorges. From the house you have an unobstructed view of the mountains, the valley and the village.
It offers the perfect opportunity to experience and enjoy authentic and genuine Andalusia, as well as to become part of the local community and participate in its culture.
Órgiva is only 1km away and can easily be reached by car in a few minutes or on foot in just 10 minutes. It is a 25 minute drive to the coast, 40 minutes to Granada and just over an hour to the Sierra Nevada ski resorts.
THE HOUSE All rooms are on one level and have direct south access to the 40sqm sun terrace with fantastic views over the garden, the valley, the mountains and the village.
The house is built on the terraced hillside in such a way that the entrance to the property is from the upper garden (parking) on the north side of the house, almost at ground level, but all rooms are faced the terrace to the south. Thus, all rooms and the terraces are as on the first floor facing south and they provide absolute privacy and cannot be seen from the surrounding gardens.
On the ground floor of the house there is a small studio with a kitchen and a private bathroom, which can be rented if there are more than 4 people. Maria and I also live in an apartment on the ground floor and of course take great care of the peace and privacy of our guests. All residential units have a separate entrance on different sides of the house.
FURNISHING The house is characterized by its spacious interior, its good and high-quality equipment as well as an exceptionally good building structure and thermal insulation. This guarantees a pleasant room temperature on hot summer days.
Everything is of good quality and carefully selected and has everything you need for a comfortable stay and a relaxing holiday. (high efficient aerothermal heating and air conditioning , Free 500 Mbps WiFi, 43 Smart TV, well-equipped kitchen with modern oven, dishwasher and large refrigerator, various coffee machines, sharp kitchen knives, large delicate Bordeaux red wine glasses, wooden garden furniture, Lafuma relaxation loungers).
We attach great importance to the cleaning and disinfection of our holiday accommodations.
The large organic community pool is 9x4m, has shallow steps across the entire width of the pool that can also be used as a bench and a 4x2m paddling pool. It is only used by the guests of our three holiday homes and is naturally chlorinated with salt without chemicals.
The lawns around the pool are so extensive that each accommodation has its own area, its own large parasol and each guest has their own Lafuma relax sun lounger for exclusive use.
The entire pool area and sunbathing areas are protected so that small children cannot go into the water unsupervised. In the extensive gardens there is a tower slide, a giant tire swing and a playground with a badminton net.
THE ENVIRONMENT The holiday penthouse is settled into the real heart of the Alpujarra, in the middle of the fertile southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada and its impressive flora and fauna. This green Garden of Eden stands out above all for its strong contrasts between Arabic, terraced and irrigated cultural landscapes and its wild alpine landscapes as well as for its year-round mild and sunny microclimate.
You can go on hikes through the valley or to the surrounding hills and mountains directly from the holiday home. Excursions to the picturesque mountain villages or to the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada can be made by car. The spectacular mountain range reaches a height of 3,484 m and is home to the most diverse flora in its five climatic zones between the subtropical coastal region and its glacier as of the clearest starry sky in Europe .
Órgiva offers numerous street cafes and restaurants, small shops, a colorful weekly market and a market hall which offers al kind of fresh groceries on fish, meat, vegetable and herb stalls, as well as a sound infrastructure of small grocery stores, organic shops, ATMs, a post office and a small emergency hospital. We like to describe Orgiva as a "normal", i.e. naturally grown village with a touch of New Age, but not as touristy.
ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS IN THE AREA Blessed with plenty of sun and mild weather all year round, this region offers an endless variety of possibilities, activities and holiday arrangements. The Mediterranean environment - part fertile cultural landscape, part wild nature - between the sunny coast and high mountains has its own character and culture. It is consistently green in winter and also in midsummer and an ideal spot to explore the real Andalusia, away from the tourist hustle and bustle.
There are inexhaustible possibilities for the nature lover. Countless hiking routes lead through olive and orange groves, past picturesque mountain villages, vineyards and wineries, through forests, wide valleys and narrow gorges, to crystal-clear mountain streams, spring lagoons and snow-capped peaks.

PRICE INFORMATION The prices shown refer to the use of the entire holiday facility (accommodation, garden, swimming pool and parking space) for 4 adults and are "all inclusive", i.e. they include all additional costs and the service of a holiday accommodation such as internet, firewood, gas, electricity , beds made up, bedside rugs, all towels, kitchen towels, sponge, washing-up liquid, washing powder, soap, shampoo and toilet paper as well as a small 'basic pantry' with our homemade organic olive oil, vinegar, salt, spices, coffee, tea and sugar.

PETS Well-behaved pets are generally welcome, but must know that under no circumstances may they jump on chairs, sofas or beds, disturb other people or soil the property. If you arrive with pets, we can ask for a deposit of 150€, which will be returned on the day of departure. We only charge an additional fee of 25€ for an extra deep cleaning. Unfortunately, we cannot accept dog breeds classified as dangerous.

Wonderful stay at this property. The apartment was charming and clean, with enough space for our family of 5 (one infant). The walk to town is a bit too far with young kids on a hot day, but very easy drive and parking was not to hard to find in town. We did walk up to the cemetery from the house for lovely views. Many short day trips made this spot an excellent base for our trip. The property is shared, but enough space you don’t feel crowded by other guests. Hosts are lovely and responsive. This apartment requires you to walk around the house to see/use the pool, so the other casita might be even better for a family with kids that want to live at the pool.

A perfect retreat in the Alpujarra
Everything about this place was great. The location is lovely and the views are spectacular. The apartment is really spacious, comfortable and clean, with big bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a full kitchen and a lovely big private balcony with views of the surrounding mountains.
Oli and Maria are really friendly, helpful hosts. They really have thought of everything to make sure you can relax and enjoy your holiday from the minute you arrive, providing organic wine and olive oil, fruit, coffee, milk and all the essentials you could need.
The pool is very clean and new, and the gardens, which also have amazing views, are lovely to relax in.
We would definitely go back if we return to Orgiva, and would recommend this apartment to friends and family.

Olivo and Maria , are super generous and kind Hosts ,
it was extremely simple check in process, every thing was clear in the guidelines book . they are extremely cooperative and helpful couples all the time .
The house was extremely nice, fully equipped , Kitchen appliances were new and super clean , amazing mountings view ... nice Garden ... Nice pool , and nice neighbors .
I would defiantly recommend it . and i would love for sure to stay with them Next Year.

Panorama, Panorama!
Schöne, ruhige Lage über dem Ort! Von der großen Terrasse und auch vom Schlafzimmer aus haben wir ein schönes und entspannendes Panorama genossen. Die Ausstattung war hervorragend. Alles war vorhanden. Lediglich eine Salatschüssel wäre noch schön gewesen. Die Vermieter sind sehr gute Gastgeber. Auch an Kleinigkeiten war gedacht (z.B. Spülmittel, neuer Schwamm, Müllbeutel, Tipps, Restaurantempfehlungen...). Garten und Pool sind natürlich gestaltet und gut gepflegt. Alles in Allem sehr zu empfehlen. Der Ort Órgiva selbst hat uns vom Erscheinungsbild nicht so überzeugt. Allerdings ist es ein guter Einkaufsort ( mehrere Lebensmittelgeschäfte, viel Bio, zwei Tankstellen ...). Vor Allem der Wochenmarkt ist ein Highlight.

Wat een geweldige plek om op vakantie te gaan! De rust, de prachtige omgeving, het groot zwembad met voldoende plaats om in de schaduw en de zon te zitten, het zeer goed uitgeruste appartement met goede bedden en 2 gezellige terrassen, een fantastisch zicht, in de buurt van gezellige dorpjes, niet ver van stranden en de zee, zeer lieve eigenaars die je bijstaan maar je ook je privacy geven, ….. Reservamos nuestras vacaciones con la idea de tener unos días de relax en familia. El plan sencillo, disfrutar del relax de la vivienda, conocer la Alpujarra y por nuestro condición de atletas dos horas al día ir al gym, momento donde nuestra perrita no puede acompañarnos.
La casa nos encanto, el paisaje y las instalaciones son tal cual se muestran y no tenemos ninguna pega al respecto. La única pega que hemos encontrado es que se quejaban si mi perra ladraba, por lo que ir al gym contando de que ella quedaba en casa fue imposible, lo que hizo que en vez de dos horas pasaran a ser 5 ya que nos tuvimos que turnar y nos generó mucha incomodidad.
También nos privó poder visitar lugares como el spa de la Lanjarón entre otros.
Nosotros entendimos desde el primer momento que mi perra si ladra puede molestar pero como otras cosas como expongo abajo también molestan pero son cosas de verano y entendible por lo que si tienes un animal y causa un mínimo de ruido este nos vuestro lugar.
En el anuncio ponen que admiten mascotas pero no exponen que si hacen un mínimo de ruido no son bienvenidos por lo que si nosotros hubiéramos sabido esto con anterioridad es posible que hubiéramos barajados otras posibilidades.
La estancia, es una finca rodeada de otras también con perros y en diversas ocasiones se escuchaba como ladraban todos a la vez o armaban barbacoas, cosas normales, conversaciones hasta las 2 de la mañana y no nos quejamos porque entendemos que es normal, pero quizás por eso n

Ich und meine kleine Familie hatten da zehn wunderschöne Tage verbracht. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Ein wunderschönes I kleines Familienfreundliches mit allem Schnickschnack ausgestattetes Häuschen! Der schöne kleine Pool hat uns bei diesen hohen Temperaturen viel Freude gemacht. Diese Ferienwohnung ist ein Traum, die riesiege, geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnküche mit dem gemütlichen Schwedenofen, das sehr große sonnige Hauptschlafzimmer mit großen Fenstern in zwei Himmelsrichtungen, zwei sehr große schöne Terassen mit einem phantastischen Rundblick über den von Olivenbäumen gesäumten Garten, den 15 Fußminuten entfernten Ortskern von Orgiva und das breite Tal bis hin zu den umliegenden Sierras. Die Fereinwohnung ist in jeder Hinsicht perfekt: Der sichere Parkplatz direkt vor der Haustür, die gut ausgestattete Küche, das gemütliche Badezimmer, die großen bequemen Betten, das Wlan... Alle unsere größeren und kleineren Extrawünsche, sei es der zweite Schreibtisch, ein zusätzlicher Mehrfachstecker oder der Ausdruck von ein paar Dokumenten wurden von unseren Gastgebern, die im gleichen Haus eine Etage tiefer leben, umgehend erfüllt.
Wir können die Wohnung und ihre herzliche Gastgeber wie auch den bunten, lebensfrohen Ort Orgiva und die vielseitige Umgebung nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Un ático de primera.
La propiedad de Oliver y María es tal cual se presenta en la información de la web. Es una bonita casa y una finca muy cuidada con numerosos espacios para relajarse viendo las montañas. La atención de los propietarios es muy buena, dado que están siempre a disposición pero a la vez son muy discretos y amables. Por otra parte el ático es totalmente independiente del resto de espacios de la casa con lo que el espacio se comparte de forma muy cómoda. La piscina y el jardín son fantásticos con numerosas tumbonas. Hay árboles, mesas de madera y bancos por varios sitios de la parcela. por lo que es un lugar perfecto para relajarse mientras se ojea un libro. En el pueblo (5 m. en coche) encuentras varios supermercados y tiendas para proveerte. Las habitaciones del ático son amplias, la cocina es suficiente, y la terraza es fantástica para comer/cenar al aire libre. Es un lugar que está bien conectado para ir a Granada y a las playas, y a tiro de piedra de los pueblos más típicos de las Alpujarras.

Ruhige schöne Ferienoase für perfekte Erholung
Die Wohnung verfügt über 2 sehr schöne Schlafzimmer und Bäder, einen gemütlichen Küchen-Wohnbereich und 2 grosse Balkone zum Sitzen und Liegen. Die Lage 15 Gehminuten vom Dorf lädt zu gemütlichen Spaziergängen oder Wanderungen in der Umgebung ein. Das zur Mitbenutzung einladende Grundstück ist perfekt für Ballspiele jeder Art oder lädt zu einem erfrischenden Bad im Pool ein. Alles ist sehr gepflegt und der Vermieter sehr hilfsbereit, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten.

Bon appartement, belle terrasse
Bonnes prestations mais sans excès: Les mots " fantastique" et/ou "somptueux" sont exagérés.
Propriétaires fort avenants et leurs services sont efficaces.
La piscine est très agréable et le lieu partagé avec d'autres personnes ne souffre pas de la promiscuité.
La terrasse ouvre sur une magnifique vallée.
Il y a deux bémols : Sur la terrasse, le cyprès cache le lever de lune ! mais il est difficile d'y remédier ...
La discothèque, uniquement samedi soir, pollue. Merci. PV

Comfortable place, also for families
If you are looking for a stay in a comfortable house, with a lot of space both inside and outside, quite but near a lively village, this is the place. The house is complete and clean, and the view from the terrace is beautiful. There is a garden all around the property and the child-friendly pool is surrounded by a fence. Oliver, the very kind owner, is there to answer any question and to help out if needed. If you have a car (recommended), the beach, nice mountain villages and hiking areas are easy to reach within 30 minutes. Orgiva has good restaurants and bars, friendly people and a lively market once a week, where people offer fresh fruits and vegetables, crafted jewelry and gadgets, and many natural, home made products.
If you are planning to go to Alhambra, make sure you get a tour guide, because there is no sign or information whatsoever. And buy your tickets in advance, as soon as possible.
