The rooms are clean but needs a dusting and desperate in need of renovation. The bathroom looks like it belongs in a jail cell. I guess you get what you pay for though and it was reasonable, especially with the added discount vouchers for the pub.

Great place to stay in Orange

Great place to stay, right in the heart of Orange town centre (and also close to the train station). Rooms were spacious, as was the bathroom, which was a bit dated but very clean. The food in the bistro downstairs was great, and the free drink voucher and 10% off food voucher was a nice little extra surprise. Plenty of parking in the hotel car park. Really great value for money, and we’re already planning a return visit!

An updated blast from the past

Not sure what to expect because the pictures on Hotels.com really didn’t give a great indication but this place was a gem! I loved that the original features have just been refreshed rather than replaced and the nostalgia of a bygone era has been preserved. Comfy beds, fantastic showers and delicious food in the restaurant downstairs, it is most definitely where we will be staying next time we come to town!

Location and price was good but the accommodation section was non-heated except for the room which the heater was on 27 but still had to sleep in hooded jacket and keep my socks on, leaving the bathroom door open to allow the minimal heat to help warm up the bathroom to shower in morning.

Very nice room and great hotel

Room was very clean with plenty of space and a hanging cupboard. Bathroom was quite big with really good shower but very low flow in basin taps (although not a great problem). We had an issue with our first room but the staff were happy to move us to another room immediately and were very gracious about it. The hotel itself is excellent, with large bars, good variety of food, lots of space and friendly staff.

Old beauty

Beautiful old hotel, very clean and comfortable. The window was broken, glass had a huge gap. Did come back one evening to the window open and no towels. Went down the reception and no one was there even at 8:20. It was a bit awkward going to a packed bar just to get a towel. Other than that it was great. Lots of potential.
