Beautiful Lakeside retreat

Beautiful, exceptionally clean home. As another review mentioned, the pictures do not do it justice. If you're looking for a place to enjoy God's beautiful creation this is it. Beautiful sandy beach right on Lake Superior. Enjoyed walking the beach and seeing the beautiful sunsets in the evening. Jay is a great host and very helpful. Lots of special extras! You will not be disappointed!

Clean and peaceful

I had a lovely time. The house was very nice and clean. I loved the view from the big windows through the forest to the lake, and that I could walk down to the beach or sit on the deck and listen to the waves. It would have been nice to have some curtains or shades on the windows at night - especially in the bathroom and bedroom, but other than that, everything was really great. Overall, I had a very peaceful stay here.

Beautiful modern luxury get-away on a beautiful beach

This is by far the nicest and most comfortable vacation rental we have had the opportunity to rent. This house is absolutely gorgeous in every way. The location is amazing, private and easy to locate. It is situated on a wonderful beach on Lake Superior where you can enjoy quiet beach walks in either direction. The home is stunning, and the decor is over the top. Every detail is well thought out and top of the line. The person who decorated this house really did a wonderful job designing an elegant modern feel, and at the same time still offering a beach house coastal style. I enjoyed the kitchen so much, the dinnerware, cookware and appliances were beautiful, and it made cooking fun, even on vacation! The bed was so comfortable, I actually looked for the brand and ordered one to replace my bed at home. I can't say enough good about this house, other than I want one just like it. Thank you for sharing it!

We loved our stay at this house. Was an even cooler property than advertised. House was beautiful, great beach access and had everything we needed. Definitely would love to visit again and would recommend. Such a cool spot.

Peace and Perfection in Ontonagon

This beautiful Lake House on the shores of Lake Superior is perfect in every way. Coming from Ohio- it felt like I was driving to the ends of the earth…but I didn’t mind one bit because the fall colors were brilliant along the way and the house itself is a worthy destination. Everything about it - the layout, the look, the location - was thoughtful and considered. The house exudes comfort and class. I felt so lucky to call it home base for a few days. Jay and Michelle provide any amenity you can think of…and yes- the kitchen really is stocked! Above and beyond my expectations for sure. They were also so welcoming of my pup by providing amenities for her as well- which made the time there extra special. I can’t say enough good things about Jay and Michelle : ) they are super kind people. communication was easy and pleasant. They truly treat you as an honored guest, with care and concern for your well being and comfort. I took full advantage of the beach combing, nature bathing, hiking, star gazing, lounging (such a comfortable bed) and the acoustics in the kitchen ; ) This was definitely a meaningful trip for me - my heart and mind won’t soon forget. Thank you Jay and Michelle for sharing your special place on earth with Mae Belle and me 💕

Labor Day Long Weekend Get Away

Wonderful place to enjoy the beauty of Lake Superior, amazing views of the porcupine mts and northern lights. The house is amazing. The nights were cooler but we kept cozy with the fireplace. Very comfortable place not lacking in charm.

UP Getaway

We love this place so much! Beautiful house, and amazing private beach! Our family had a wonderful vacation. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the beach, but there is also so much to explore nearby. We visited the Porcupine Mountains and many other gorgeous hikes. We will definitely be back!

The Best Property

The property was absolutely stunning. The whole house was tastefully decorated and spotless. The kitchen was stocked with anything you would need. The beds were comfortable. The deck on the house had a bbq grill and a propane fire pit with many comfortable chairs. The location was very nice and right on the water. The beach was beautiful and we spent every day by the water. Jay was very responsive and quick to respond. We will be back. Lu and Peter

Fantastic place

We were absolutely blown away how beautiful the home was when we walked in the front door. Really enjoyed our stay there. Fantastic sunsets views from a great beach just a short walk from the home. Would recommend to anyone. Only minor issue is water pressure for showers. Owner is aware and working on. Very minor issue given how enjoyable our stay was.

Slice of Heaven

I don’t think I can summarize the beauty of this place in a review. The home is a work of art and you can see the dream of the owners in every space. We felt at home the entire time. The beach was the most amazing time spent when we were there. The sunsets are painted over the lake like a dream and our family soaked it up. We explored the area with great rec commendations from the host and others we met in town. Our daughter kept saying it was the best vacation ever! We agree and will be back. We were to bring our fur child with us and she passed before the trip, we honored her there and felt her with us during this time. All in all, 1000 out of 10; this trip will always have a special place in my heart.

Hiking Trip to Porcupine Mountain

House was beautiful and full of little surprise amenities. My wife and I traveled up to the UP for a few days of hiking with our toddler. The location of the house is fairly close to the trailheads, and right on the lake. Jay was extremely easy to communicate with inside the Vrbo app, and we had no issues finding the house or anything in the property. Check-in/out was seemless with very little for us to truly take care of compared to other Vrbos we have stayed at. Jay also gave us some hiking recommendations and places to stop at in town, and they ended up being very helpful as we had to pivot a couple times with the toddler. Overall, awesome trip and house. I have already recommended the property to a handful of friends and family looking to get up to the area.

Superior Getaway

We booked this property for our family of four plus two dogs. Our stay was three overnights, which started on a Saturday. A few nights prior to our start beginning we texted the owner with a few questions abount amenities and supplies at the property, and we recieved a quick reply. The communication with the property owner from start to finish was the best we have had with any property owner on VRBO. We have used VRBO at least 2-3 times per year since 2021, and we have experienced many differences in how owners communicate with us. We found some issues with the property that did not adversely impact our stay but we suspected maybe the owner was unaware. The receptiveness in the owner's reponses to our observations were very pleasant. We recieved a foot of snow during our stay and plow service was promptly provided. The property itself was beautiful. The modern cabin was not more than a few hundred feet from the shore of Lake Superior, with miles of sandy beach to walk. The interior was decorated with many shades of blue that were more than likely inspired by the lake a stone's throw a way. The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking and baking supplies, including spices and appliances. There were so many spices available that we made taco seasoning from scratch! This was a surpise stay. It would be fun to return in the warmer months for a stay with a swim.

Spring Break 2024

We stayed here for a relaxing spring break get away and that is exactly what it was. We truly loved and appreciated every ascept this cabin/home offers. From the beach view out the floor to ceiling windows to the wooded front yard. It was the perfect spot to relaxing and drink coffee by the fire and watch the waves roll through. We explored Porcupine Mountains, which was breathtaking even in the cold. We will for sure be back

Inspirational!

We enjoyed our winter retreat. The large windows provided us with a wonderful view of the woods, the ice shoves, and Lake Superior herself. We used our days there as a time to relax, write and paint. It was perfect!

Beautiful place to stay on the shores of Lake Superior

My friends and I had an absolute blast staying here for a girls trip. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals, and there was plenty of space to inside and out to see. Would definitely love to come back! The host was very helpful too.

Beautiful Home!

We had an incredible winter getaway weekend here. The fireplace, kitchen, floor-to-ceiling windows, and location on Lake Superior were amazing. It’s off the beaten path with limited cell service, so I recommend downloading a map before driving here. We will definitely be back!

Gorgeous getaway

Amazing location. Loved the house. Cozy and bright. Waking up with that view from the bed was heaven. One of the best rental kitchens I've ever been in. Set up to cook and read and walk the beach and see no one else.
