Good location for the most part. Easy beach access. Good parking. Clean but not sparkling or “hotel clean.” Close to Portland but out of the city a bit. Nice neighborhood for the most part though close to an amusement park. You should be warned that the Downeaster Amtrak trains come through frequently blaring a horn even in the night. It is loud enough to awaken you. In addition, the upstair apartment is a rental. The first day we were there they were moving out or cleaning. Lots of foot traffic overhead. Noisy. Then the dog moved in 2 days later. When the owners were gone the dog barked nonstop for hours.
Check out was vague. I had asked for a later checkout and was told to call towards the end of our stay, but no one ever answered the phone or the messages. Checked out on time but no one was there. Had to put the keys in the mail slot. Probably if we had checked out later no one would be the wiser…then why insist on a call?
In unit 1 specifically, the oven knob was broken and would not turn the oven off. You have to take the knob off to turn the metal itself to turn it off. The shower switch was also broken and allowed water to keep coming through the faucet; hence affecting the shower flow.
Overall, our stay was pleasant and for the price it was good.
