Fantastic house and layout

House was well-appointed and Colleen (host) was very responsive. We were there for a lacrosse tournament with 2nd grade boys and she even left out items to make s'mores. I would highly recommend this property as it was clean, had all the necessary amenities, and the community was great!

Great Location and Property

My family had a wonderful week at this property. There was ample space and the complex really is fabulous. Colleen was very responsive and made great recommendations for local places to eat - all were on point. The biggest issue we had all week was the complete lack of Wifi. Colleen did try to remedy the problem and we found a workaround at the community center when my husband was desperate to take a work call, but it was not in working order during our entire stay for more than a minute or two before freezing and dropping. Additionally, small things like the gas grill having no gas and a few dead crickets in closets/cheese balls under the bed, made it seem as though we were borrowing someone's vacation home, not paying customers with needs that should be honored. With a few minor customer service adjustments, this would be the perfect place to stay in Delaware.

My husband and I are experienced VRBO users and our son owns an AIRB and B in Scotsdale. We know what it takes to be super hosts and James and Colleen are the best super hosts we have ever experienced. They went above and beyond for our big family stay and hands down EVERYONE did agree without exception that their place was the best home and resort style amenities we have ever experienced!! Thank you making this stay so incredible!

Great house for a family vacation

Highly recommend staying here. Everything was as described in the listing. The hosts were thoughtful and responsive. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The amenities such as the two pools and the fitness center were a plus. We would definitely return!

Fabulous Family Vacation

Our stay in this beautiful vacation home was enjoyed by our entire family. We felt the home was even more spacious than the pictures depict. It was clean, comfortable & beautifully decorated. The kitchen was beyond well equipped for any meal preparation. We especially enjoyed morning coffee on the patio while taking in the view of the pond/fountain. We found the location of the home to be convenient to all of the community amenities which provided something for everyone in our family. The hosts were very accommodating & always available to answer questions and provide us with information/recommendations. We had a very positive experience & would love to make a return visit.

Great space for a relaxing vacation!

We had,a great stay in this spacious, well-appointed 5br home. The house is set on a pretty street with nearby overflow parking, in walking distance to a gym and 2 pools. Close to restaurants, creamery and mini-golf. The beach and shopping district are minutes,away. The house was filled with all of the essentials... tv and internet service; kitchen cookware, tableware and gadgets; Bikes in the garage for riding the community trails, beach chairs, games etc. Also, plenty I'd indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommended!

Awesome all around

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, despite being in the middle of Covid times. Colleen was immensely helpful, thoughtful, and communicative throughout the booking and prep process, and the house was very clean and looks even better in person. There was more than enough space for all 6 of us, and the upstairs is set up wonderfully for children and to have some separation between families when needed. We loved the quiet neighborhood--we went on family bike rides on the paved paths every day and enjoyed the pool. Highly recommend!

Best vacation!

We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay here! From the moment we walked in we were blown away by the beautiful home and all it had to offer our family of 7. Colleen and Jim were so very kind and accommodating and truly tried to make our visit to their home a pleasurable one. They did more than exceed our expectations. The Bay Forest community is absolutely beautiful. Our family enjoyed all that it had to offer during our stay. We loved the pool, workout facility, tennis courts and all the walking/biking trails. One of the best advantages to staying here was that the home had it all. We didn’t have to pack up all our beach gear, bikes, etc. We were also able to prepare many meals in the gourmet kitchen as well as use the grill. Our family loved our stay and can’t wait to go back again!

Great stay in Bay Forest

The property was clean, organized and well maintained. The kitchen had all supplies necessary for meal prep and the beds were very comfortable. The community has many amenities for everyone. We enjoyed the view of the pond from the house, the nearby fire pit and lazy river and the kayak launch off the Bay Forest Marina. The owners were very responsive to all of our questions both prior to and during our stay.

Absolutely lovely home with every detail needed for a wonderful stay

Beautiful home that was exceedingly clean. Every needed amenity. Lovely grounds. My family enjoyed the gym and all of the pools, especially the lazy river. Perfect location for quick into town and nearby towns. Bethany is an amazing beach. Working with Jim was easy and a pleasure. Great space for large groups and multiple generations. Amazing vrbo experience.

Great Place, Great Stay!

We stayed in this townhouse for about a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty of room for our family of 4 kids and 6 adults. The place is large, clean and well-furnished. The kitchen is well-stocked with pretty much all the dishes, cookware and gadgets you would need, and also has a really nice large stovetop that accommodates a lot of pots/pans. Also has a large grill on the back patio. The community pool is great and our entire family - from a 1-year-old to grandparents - had a wonderful time. The community also has nice walking/running paths. The owner, Jim, is very pleasant and communicates well to answer questions and provide any information needed. Would highly recommend it.

Lovely & immaculate

The home was lovely, well-appointed, and the only place that we have ever rented for vacation at the shore that did not required at least a once over with disenfectant spray and Pledge (and we have stayed at some lovely places). Everything was in perfect order (e.g. gas grill, Kuerig, washer, dryer, ect...) and the amenities and location were utter perfection. Our children really loved the lazy river feature of the one community pool and the adults loved the other pool, which was designated as a lap/adult lounge pool. The community was well-manicured and the residence has a pond with a fountain directly behind it. Relaxing to look out upon it in the evenings. This coupled by the melodic singing of frogs was the perfect backdrop for some family reading time after a long day out and about. We could go on and on... One thing that Michael did mind was the Internet connection. It was spotty, but I tend to believe that any internet connection would be spotty with four kids and four adults all tapping into it. Not to mention, we were at the shore who needs mi6 internet capacity when you are at the shore on vacation. Thank you Collen and James! Sincerely, Carlesha and Michael Halkias
