Unwanted houseguests - do not stay here!!
We enjoyed our week at Sunburns until we were confronted with an infestation issue. We came home from dinner to a swarm of termites that were in multiple bedrooms. The termites were all over the bedroom furniture, walls, in our beds and suitcases. We had to swat and kill them and more kept coming. It was very disturbing. It took 3 calls and over an hour to the after hour agency number to get a response from someone. It was very late and we decided to pack up and drive home (3.5 hours) because they couldn’t find us alternate sleeping arrangements and this house was uninhabitable for all of our guests at this point in time. The house itself was nice and accommodated our large party comfortably. It could have used a little more cleaning prior to our arrival (multiple items under the beds and old soap bars melted to the 2 larger showers, also blood stains on sheets for the bed), otherwise we were happy with the property. Unfortunately our last evening there we came home to what became hundreds of termites in our bedrooms, suitcases, beds, and clothes. I am very disappointed with the response and outcome of this event. The outdoor areas were nice and accommodating. The pool area was fantastic (large clean pool, nice lounge chairs, clean area). Parking was convenient due to many parking spots. The grill was subpar and not usable. With the caliber of this rental there should be a nicer grill available. Walking distance to the beach was awesome.
