The room was clean and tidy but out dated . Electric heater stained . Wall switches old and discoloured. Carpet rippled. Bathroom dated. Condiments chest tackle. View out on to a flat room. I did not feel comfortable in the room and left after 2 hours.

When I checked into my room, it was either still occupied by another guest or the room want made up. When I approached lady on reception she said how strange, no apologies or anything if the sort. Stayed here about 7 times this year so far, but probably won’t stay again now.

Ok for a place to sleep, nothing special

Good overall. Beds are comfortable but rooms are dated and need a refurbishment and by no means have enough plugs especially in places you need them. The pool is a lovely addition but far too cold. Didn’t use the gym but looked fully equipped and good. Onsite bar/restaurant is very much of a Wetherspoon type but a lot more expensive. Breakfast is ok but far too expensive. Very friendly and helpful staff and everywhere was clean and tidy. Starbucks on site is a saving grace!

Village hotel Newcastle

The 1st time ive stayed at this hotel . I was very impressed. On arrival I was greeted at reception and the hotel layout and facilities explained . A lovely modern hotel room , spacious bar and a good variety of food and drinks at reasonable prices . The star of the show for me was the health club. The range of facilities and classes on offer is probably one of the best that I have experienced. Absolutely top class . Followed by a beautiful breakfast the next morning . I will definitely be going back.
