I was given the wrong address that actually didn't actually exist which I did not discover until my taxi was unable to locate it. I had to go through the vrbo app to contact the host which took a bit of time. When the local property manager called me, he gave me the correct address and paid for an uber to take me to. that address. This turned out not to be the unit I had expected when I booked the property. This in spite of having asked the host specifically if I would be staying in the unit as pictured on the verb site and assured it would be. I reached out to the property manager again who, after some time, offered to move me and my traveling companion into the expected unit the following day. We spent our first night in NYC in a unit which had not been cleaned well. My friend's pillow case had several spots of blood on it and there was a used bandaid on the floor in my bedroom. We moved to the next unit the following day (this was the unit pictured on the verb site). We had to wait until noon to move to allow the unit to be cleaned. This was a huge inconvenience as we had only 2 days to spend in NYC and this hampered our ability to see all we had hoped to see. The 2nd unit was much more comfortable in terms of layout and location. However, my friend discovered a pair of womens tights in her bed linens and the bath mat was filthy, this in spite of the cleaning crew having been there earlier in the morning we moved in.

Nice outdoor space

My son and I went to NYC for Spring Break. This apartment is walking distance to Columbus Circle, which makes it easy to get around. Food and groceries are also within walking distance. I really enjoyed the backyard space. Check in was tricky because we flew in and did not arrive until after 5pm.

Beware of Host Bait and Switch

Beware of this listing. They pulled a bait and switch and refused to provide a refund for the remaining days. They did not notify us of the switch before hand so we could make alternate arrangements.They dragged out the process by promising that the originally booked rental was fixed and that I can pickup the keys. Only on the day of pickup I was told it was not available. Slow to communicate to avoid giving refund for the remaining nights of the stay.They tried to gas light me into thinking the replacement unit was the same. It was smaller and more congested. No AC at all. Roaches everywhere, radiator issues, leaking, windows with no natural light and no private backyard just a trash dump. Do not book with this host at all!
