This hotel is very small and cute. The location at the end of Jiufen Old Street is great. It rained while we were there and the hotel did feel humid and damp. Also, the bathroom is separated by a curtain, not a door. Just FYI in case you are staying with friends!

room is cosy

stunning view and quiet environment. taxi only arrived 100m+ away, and you have to walk slightly up slope after drop-off. No large luggages recommended. seaview double room is downstair but really nice view. However, the neighborhood could watch you thru the window easily and "accidentally". You can enjoy the sunset by walking up slope along the road to a platform(within 5mins) with 2 stray cats. The wall is thin, you can hear people walking(esp the stairs) in the house.

The view is very nice, and so as the room. The staff are kind and helpful. However, every passerby could look into my room, I would not recommend this one if you are highly sensitive to your privacy.

Cozy, great shower, good wifi

The room was clean and the shower was one of the best, especially for a place located mountainous out of the city area. Tips: cars can't go directly to most hotels in the area. So need to walk around a bit to find them. The room we got looks like a basement and slightly damp but it lights up nicely and has a modern look. It has a window and wifi was great. It does have a weird door that opens to the bottom side of the stairs next to the sink, which they could build a storage place for clothes instead.

Very niche and industrial designed room. Very spacious and had complimentary breakfast, which I wasn’t able to take advantage of. Was able to store luggage at the front desk after check out so we could walk around. Staff was very friendly and helpful with guiding and local tips.

very nice hotel/hostel. very good people and very clean. it was hard to go upstairs with the suitcases. and the description of the view from the window in the pictures was not accurate. any way i will be back to this cute hotel. it's located at the end of the old street .

The decorations are amazing, but overall I don’t think the price matches the quality. Rooms were super musty and very noisy. You can hear everything outside your door. Staff were sweet.

Check in was effortless. Hotel staffs were quite friendly. Breakfast included was ok,with 2 pieces of bread, salad, fruits, fried egg and ham. The portion is good enough for Asians, for westerners, probably a bit too small. But hey! You are in Taiwan, Street food everywhere! I love the view from my room, which is overlooking the ocean, the mountain,and some paths. The hotel rooms are built just above the 5th tunnel, and the bottom level used to be an ore to extract the gold from the tunnels. Hence, it's called "The Ore Inn". It's definitely an interesting place to stay with history. I would definitely come back to this hotel, and would recommend it to everyone.
