Gorgeous and clean and close to so much!

This is the first time we have stayed in the Lower Garden District and it did not let us down. So many good spots to eat and so many fun vintage clothing stores. We will be coming back!

Great Spot in the Garden District!

My husband and I just spent four nights in Calvin's lovely apartment. We found it to be a beautiful space with great furnishings and decorative touches. The bed was comfortable and he thought of everything we might need for a great visit! We especially liked hanging out on the balcony in the evening. Calvin was prompt, pleasant and great to deal with. Five stars!!

French quarter fest

We had the best time for our stay. The apartment was just as presented and so conveniently located to the Magazine street bus. We took the bus everyday to and from the French quarter. If you want to stay in a neighborhood but still access the quarter this was perfect.

New Orleans lower garden district

It was perfect as always with this property and host. The property is in an ideal location with easy access to many different parts of the city via the streetcar and/or buses. It is also perfect for walking to many different restaurants and shops that are part of New Orleans culture. As a native of New Orleans, I love and appreciate this spot.

Great location and the pocket doors were great for keeping the noise out of sleeping area.Only complaint was there was a twin slay bed in the TV room instead of a loveseat or couch and made it very uncomfortable to unwind and watch some TV before your next outing. Cook stove, just a double hot plate but who wants to cook when you can walk to a great restaurant. We had a great time!!

Lovely stay

Went to the Crescent City for Superbowl 59. This was a lovely property, conveniently located. Does get a bit noisy in the evenings, but shut the doors to the bedroom and all is silenced. Minimalist kitchen, but who wants to cook while visiting New Orleans??? We already planning a trip back to see/do more! We’ll be lucky to book here again. Thank you

Home is in the Big Easy

This was not our first trip to New Orleans, but it was our first staying in this area. We found the property to be perfect for our needs. Calvin has a beautiful property. We spent a lot of time on the balcony overlooking the area and just soaking that in. The property is an easy distance from the streetcar, just hop on it and you are in the Quarter in no time. There are also a ton of shops and restaurants within walking distance of the rental. We walked to breakfast twice and I (a mid 30's female) walked to numerous places in the area solo. This gives you an idea of how safe the neighborhood feels during the day. There are a couple of bars nearby so it can get hoppin' after dark. We didn't feel uncomfortable with this and enjoyed the opportunity to sip drinks from the balcony and people watch. If you want to be part of the nightlife, we highly recommend 'The Garden District Pub' right across the street. The bed is comfortable, the kitchenette is well stocked, the artwork is beautiful, and the natural lighting in the apartment is great! We loved staying here for our Christmas in our favorite city and will definitely be looking into staying at Calvin's property again. Until next time- 'laissez les bons temp rouler'!

Beautiful and Unique

This apartment is spacious, open and full of light. We were very comfortable and charmed by the high ceilings, large windows and the balcony. The bed is extremely comfortable with lovely linens and duvet and soft pillows. The area is quiet and interesting, with lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Staying here really made our trip to New Orleans extra special. Calvin was very easy to talk to and very responsive.

Adorable apartment in Garden district. Could walk everywhere. There was some noise at night from the local bars but with the bedroom doors closed you couldn’t hear. Loved the balcony, tall ceilings, antique furniture and kitchen supplies.

The perfect spot

It was our 10th anniversary getway and we didnt want to stay in the Quarter. This space was perfect for what we wanted - close to everything but far enough away to avoid the crowds. Super clean and spacious. With a comfy bed and those giant doors, Yo! Already planning another trip to include this space.

Beautiful place. Great location.

We really enjoyed the charm of this apartment. Also we loved the location. However, the window did not have a lock and the balcony was shared. We didn’t have any problems, but it did give us a little anxiety. But the overall location combined with how gorgeous the apartment was made up for that. We would stay here again!

A lovely place in an ideal location!

The location was perfect mid-way between downtown and the French Quarter and the Garden District. We loved being in a neighborhood and the decor our the apartment fit perfectly with the period. The bed was comfortable and with the large doors to the bedroom shut, it was quiet and dark. We would happily stay here again on our next visit to New Orleans.

1st trip to NOLA!

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this apartment! It was very clean, has big open spaces with tall ceilings, tons of natural light, nice lounging areas, and a balcony facing the park & Magazine street. The location was great in a very walkable part of town, with easy access to bars, restaurants, & cafes. It was also easy to get an Uber/Lyft in the area, $8 to $10 to the FQ. Calvin was a great host, there were a few bottles of water in the frig for us, a Keurig with coffee pods, and he allowed us to do an early check in which was awesome! We would definitely stay here again!

FUN location, historic charm, excellent host

We're digital nomads, and this apartment was a great home base for work and play in New Orleans. It was spacious and comfortable, with good wifi, multiple workspaces, and off-street parking. It's in a historic building, with 12ft ceilings and a wide balcony - tons of authentic New Orleans character! We loved the location in the Lower Garden District, an easy walk to the st. Charles streetcar and numerous restaurants and shops. We also walked to the French Quarter a lot. Best of all, we watched a second line and the Irish Channel St. Paddy's Day parade from the balcony! So fun! The apartment was well-stocked with supplies in the bathroom and kitchenette - we didn't have to buy a thing. The host, Calvin, was very responsive and accommodating. When we had a little problem with the front door, he was there in minutes to fix it. Interested guests should note that (1) the kitchenette is at one end of the bedroom (might be tricky for couples who retire/rise at different times) and (2) the unit does not have a washer and dryer. Both of these are evident in the photos/description, and would not stop us from staying here again in the future.
