THE SPACE:
All the extras have been tastefully added to this cute and cozy cottage. The host offers munchies, baked goods and a superb coffee bar with all the fixings including a great selection of coffee, creamers, teas, and sugars. Comfortable, fluffy bedding, warm rugs... All you can hope for while taking in the fresh air and starry sky with no light pollution. And don't forget smores made by the huge stone firepit down by the lake or in the comfort of your own tiny cottage. Enjoy just sitting and reading a book or taking in the sights and sounds of nature in the Adirondack chairs lakeside.
The host has thought of just about everything you need to make your stay the best it can be!
PROPERTY: There are eight secluded, roomy acres to explore. Serene lake setting with fish to drown your concerns and worries away. Fishing novice or simply looking to try? Ask the host; she enjoys sharing her skill and is passionate about fishing.
KITCHEN: well-appointed kitchen with stove, microwave, Keurig, full size refrigerator w/ freezer, utensils and everything for your cooking needs. Newly added S’mores maker inside too. We do provide coffee, creamers, tea, and sugar along with spices and cooking oils.
SLEEPING SPACE: There is a Queen bed tucked away in the corner to fall asleep to the sound of silence and nature! The spacious sofa in the living room converts to a queen bed. Great for kids or small adults. Sound machine included.
BATHROOM: Bathroom has all the necessities you need! Shampoos, conditioners, soaps, hairdryers.... you name it, it's here for you! There is an amazing spa like outdoor shower just off of the common area if you choose to be so much closer to nature and enjoy a peaceful shower outdoors! Yes, there is hot water! Outdoor shower is seasonal.
GATHERING GROUNDS: At the common gathering area you will find an array of rocking chairs, comfy loveseat and chairs with cushions and pillows to rock the day away.
The space is great for stargazing as there is no light pollution what so ever. If you are a bird watcher, the host has been able to identify over 27 bird varieties with the help of Merlin, the ap. Peacefulness abounds here.
Cell service is great here if you must be on the phone. Wifi is also available.

Is there heat and A/C? YES!!!!!

Do you have amenities for children? (crib, high chair, etc.)
No we do not have any items of those sorts for children. We are limited on storage space in the cottage and unfortunately at this time we do not offer items of that nature. If there is something specific you are looking for, please do not hesitate to ask.
Can you swim in the pond?
You can, but swim at your own risk however, we prefer you didn't. There are tree branches, limbs, etc., along with snapping turtles in the pond for its natural ecosystem.
Is it safe for kids?
Please note that while we have done our best to make the cottage safe for everyone, it may not be suitable for all young children. The property has a relaxing and peaceful pond just a short walk away from the cottage. The waters edge and forest has many entrances and exits. Please use your best judgement as parents.

Is there a grill?
Yes. You will need to bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid.
Pool:
The pool is shared with the owner and you may see other guests as well during the hotter months.
Please be respectful of others while using the pool.
No jumping
No splashing others
No climbing on the sides of the pool. If seen, you will be asked to leave the pool area.
No rough housing and abusing pool floats.
If you put umbrellas up, put them down when you leave the pool area.
No glass bottles.
CLEAN YOUR TRASH WHEN YOU LEAVE THE POOL AREA.
We do have an occasional storm in the warmer months. At times the electricity may blink or go out for a short amount of time. With this being said we have made provisions for outages to include drinking water and alternative toileting facilities. We generally DO NOT lose power, but please be advised that circumstances with nature are out of our control. We also do not refund if you show up for your booked stay and it rains.
