The hotel staff allows us to check in early. The food in the hotel restaurant is great. However, not much dining options in the town. Close the a few tourist attractions around Lake Myvatn. Along the ring road, so very convenient. Guest can sign up to receive Aurora phone call if they spot one.

Incredible staying at the Mývatan-Berjaya Iceland!

The Mývatan-Berjaya Iceland Hotel is an excellent value for your money. It is not only with an unforgettable location, but the hotel has many amenities to enjoy, including a couple of outdoor hot tubs. The room is beautiful, modern, comfortable, and clean, and it was spacious for three people.They have a good breakfast. We were helped in an extraordinary way by Noelia, who was working at the front desk the night of our arrival. She was very friendly and helpful since we called letting them know our arrival time and she was kind enough to let each guest know if they had requested it, if the northern lights were visible. We were fortunate enough to see our first auroras, and she walked us outside to the best outdoor place to see them. When we arrived, we decided to dine at the restaurant, and all three dishes we ordered were delicious. The restaurant is very nice as well. The staff at the front desk and the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel.

Very modern hotel with clean spacious rooms. Bathrooms clean, actually provided L'Occitane toiletries! Only thing missing was lotion. None of the Iceland hotels ave lotions and most do not provide shampoos and conditioners. Hotel rooms had large windows with lovely views. Had a very pleasant stay here even though only stayed one night. They had ample parking. They had hot tubs which we didn't use as we just came from Myvatn nature baths which is very close to the hotel.

We stayed 2 nights. They were able to accommodate our arrival an hour earlier than stated check in hours. The room and bathroom were spacious with both tub and shower available. The bath products, L'Occitane were lovely. There was tea and coffee available in the room as well. There were 2 hot tubs and really thick terry robes to use. The night staff provided wake up calls for aurora sightings. The hotel was close to all the Lake Mývatn sites. Very happy with this booking.

The hotel room (superior room we booked) is very small. No table, just one chair. Night tables are also very small. We asked long ago for a room with bathtub, but the hotel staff just refused to provide such a room for us. Receptionist told us all their rooms are fully booked for the day, so they could not provide us with a room with bathtub. Actually on Expedia, rooms are available for their 3 types of rooms for the day. Expedia told us the hotel has provided us with a complimentary upgrade. No upgrade at all. l On Expedia, the same room sells for much less for the same night stay.
