Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We did not have hot water for the first 24 hours. Traveling with 4 woman you can imagine that was not fun for us and we missed our reservations for a nice dinner on night one. But we were provided 2 pizzas far from satisfying.otherwise the trip was pleasant.

The furniture was a bit worn, 3 grey felt chairs has damaged legs; we couldn't use them. The dresser in the room with 2 beds has broken draws and the veneer on the night table was cracking.

They were constantly in touch to let us know about the aftermath of Hurricane Ian and the impact to our holiday.The condo itself was a bit disappointing. It is very dated; furniture was uncomfortable and some needed fixing (several dining room chairs). The furniture is well worn. We are all for comfy and cozy but this missed the mark. And the dolls in the bedroom display case need to go.For a week it would be fine as you aren’t in the condo that much but for an extended stay you need comfort.

Not the visit we expected

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What we hoped to be a great visit turned out to be a terrible disappointment. We initially had reservations for 311 Ocean Cove and arrived to find the condo filthy and full of bugs that were both alive and dead. We called and were moved to a unit we were assured that we would love. That could not have been furthest from the truth. The furnishings were completely outdated. The kitchen supplies were old and broken which made it impossible to feed our large family dinners in the condo. The balcony collected water every evening and the windows fogged every day. We have visited this beach and used Garden City Realty for most of our visits and after this year we will never again use their services and will be visiting a different location next year. It was sad. In an already dismal year, this trip was anything but enjoyable.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I have stayed at the Surf Master many times and this is the worst unit we have ever rented. If you want to open/close or raise/lower the blinds none of them work properly and they look as if they are falling apart. Some of the doors are damaged so badly and need replacing or repairing. The "leather" chair and stools are cracked so bad, and the couches are uncomfortable. The lint filter in the dryer falls out and small articles of clothing can fall into the open space. Some sort of black substance is in the bathtub and wallpaper peeling off the walls in the primary bathroom. One of the TVs does not work, and we were told the owner of the property did not return phone call when contacted for help in dealing with cable company. No TV for the week. It seems the owner has no interest in maintaining their unit. This experience will not keep us from coming back because over all Garden City Realty is a great company to work with, but I wonder if this unit has been inspected recently to see if it meets their standards. We will not rent this unit again

Reviewer Comments: This condo has one of the most beautiful views of the Atlantic ocean however the condo is very run down and in need of replacement of many "things" within the condo. The increase in price does not warrant the comfort of the condo unless renovations and replacements are going to be done. But the view is beautiful. Garden City Realty is excellent to work with. Surfmaster is a beautiful condo complex. I would recommend Surfmaster and Garden City Realty to everyone however I do not recommend this unit.

Master bedroom and living room had the view of a ship at sea: all sky and water. Two of three bedrooms were dark with small windows and no good view. I loved having laundry facilities. The building sits too close to the beach, so little in the way of attractive dunes.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time and the weather was beautiful. I do believe that the condo does need some TLC. The stools for the kitchen bar are in bad shape. The toaster should be replaced (had time to leave, grab toast from waffle house and get back before toast was done), Alarm clock in master doesn't work, bathroom vent fan needs cleaning. Window vertical blinds are missing slats and are very difficult to operate. We did stay in the same condo 1 year ago and it was much nicer. The master comforter should be replaced, very soiled. Garden City Reality is a great company to work with and I don't think 1008 is up to their standards.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been renting from you all 3 times a year for 3 or 4 years and this is the first time we were disappointed with our rental. The unit needs updating. The living room furniture very uncomfortable. The mattresses are need replaced. That's just to name a couple of things. We come on vacation to be comfortable and relax. If this were the only unit available to rent, we would rather stay at home. I would not recommend this unit to anyone. However we have no issues with the Garden City Realty team, you guys are great as usual. Just not happy with unit 1008.

The bad was that the ice maker did not work and that’s all. Everything else was great. We were very happy that we were able to book this place with only a couple hours notice due to the place we originally were booked at was a dump. When you view pictures of the place, you can believe what you see when renting from Garden City Reality. Thank you for being the best with great people representing your company!

I quickly found out that I got into a very dated, very ill equipped unit. For the pricing of Feb and March, along with the building refurbishment going on, it is absolutely fleecing the renters !

Late September Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a beautiful, sun-filled vacation at Surfmaster 1008. Condo layout, bed configuration and bath facilities were wonderful for 6 adults. Kitchen appointments (plates, bowls and silverware) need to be more plentiful for guests who expect to cook. Dishwasher does not clean well. The large skillet needs to be replaced. It’s not usable because of scratched surface.
