Very Pleasant Sojourn in Garden City

The unit was in excellent condition and well sized and equipped for 5 adults. We liked its close proximity to Murrell's Inlet where we dined several times, as well as easy access to Brookgreen Gardens and Charleston.

Lovely Condo on the Beach

Reviewer Comments: Unit 1406 in Atalaya Towers was clean and roomy enough for the 8 of us. Besides a few kitchen gadgets (like scissors) not being available, the condo had all we needed. The pools were always clean. The main toilet in the condo did often run a lot, I'd have to take the tank lid off and giggle stuff around and then it would stop. Other than that, nothing else was wrong with the condo

Family Beach Vacation

However the beds and pillows need to be replaced, in the 2 smaller bedrooms. They are extremely uncomfortablge! We have stayed in this unit for 2 years, and are booked for next year.

Also, the bed that was advertised as queen was a double. The carpet is badly worn, thread bare in several places. Loved the large corner balcony. It would have been nice if the second elevator was working.

Reviewer Comments: check-in was fine-pool is strangely located on the other side of the property from the ocean-in the parking lot-things were ok until I woke up with many bites on me-I called for new linens but was told we had to relocate because of bedbugs-they found us another condo down the street but we had to repack everything and then unload into a new place-this has happened 2 years in a row-last year we had to be moved because of mold-they refunded half our money

Nice unit, great view, uncomfortable furniture

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First impression was a beautiful view, nice unit. However the floor had not been vacuumed nor any of the furniture dusted. Housekeeping did come right out when I called. The unit had all the amenities you would need but the couch was extremely uncomfortable (cushions kept falling in), the beds were very stiff, and the pillows very thin. We often had to park across the road in the spare lot because there was not enough parking spaces. The pool was nice but had only one table and chair for seating and the bathroom was grungy. Office staff was rarely there. Despite these issues, it was a good value for the money and we would probably stay there again.

Worst rental ever !!!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I booked this vacation through Garden City Rentals, after a great experience at Surf Masters in May. Upon arrival, the first thing that happened is we had a toilet that would not flush. Had to caqll for maintenance, and had to wait for them to fix it before we could go get food we needed.None of the tv's were scanned for the cable, so they had to do that. The next day when I went to cook breakfast, there were no good skillets, out of three provided. They were either broken, or rusted teflon.The microwave light did not work, making it hard to see to cook. Only 1 of three burners on the stove worked, another call to maintenance. The patio furniture was all old , dirty plastic chairs from Walmart, not clean or comfortable to sit in. The couch was so old, we could not get up out of it , after sitting down on it. One bedroom door had a plunger that would not release so the door would not stay closed. Another maintenance call. The floor tiles in the Master Bath were loose, and it was not clean. The final straw was when the curtain rod was falling out of the wall , and we could not move curtains for fear it would fall off!!!!! Renters should not be responsible for discovering all the things that are broken or worn out, while we are trying to get some rest. The dishwasher rocks back and forth when you open it, and is not attached to the countertop. THe washer and dryer both smell of mold.
