The apartment was very quiet even though it was over a bar and on a busy street. Minimalist furnishings but comfortable. The location was perfect for sightseeing in Montreal. Easy bus line and taxi service was great

The host did not respond to messages I sent in the week leading up to our stay. We had to contact VRBO four hours before check in to get the check in information.The apartment is above a bar. It smells like cigarettes: there was incredibly loud music pumping in to the apartment on the Friday night from 9pm to 3am. There was slightly quieter music from the bar on Sunday night. The apartment was clean but there was a burn mark on the couch, the kitchen trash can bottom was melted, one of the beds had a huge chunk out of the frame, the shower didn’t have a mat and was very slippery, the blankets on the bed didn’t have a duvet cover and were wrapped in sheets. The posting said there was parking, but it’s street park blocks away and it’s almost impossible to avoid getting a ticket.I would not recommend staying here.
