Good value for money for an hotel in Monteverde. Close to downtown (5 min walks). Outstanding personnel that will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. For that alone this hotel is worth staying. Everything was clean and in working conditions. The beds could be upgraded (they are springs).

Nice experience in Monreverde

Our stay at Mountain Faro was made excellent by our host! She took excellent care of us, going out of her way to make our time in Monteverde special. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel was close to the rest of town!

Mountain Faro Hotel was a beautiful place to stay. Very nice simple breakfast. Very easy check-in! The parking spot was a bit tight but that is the only downside to this Hotel. It is within walking distance to restaurants nearby. I would recommend staying at this hotel! Thanks for a pleasant stay!!!

This is a B&B, not a hotel. They have 7 or 8 rooms and 2 parking places. The B&B is in a residential area, and the road is not paved. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean. We stayed in a family room with full queen beds and bunk beds (no railing on the top bunk, so probably out for younger kids). The breakfast was simple but good. Because they only have 3 tables and they cook it fresh for you, you may not be able to eat since many people schedule tours for the morning and need to eat about the same time. We had to go find something one day because there wasn't space available.

It’s a small hotel run by a family with 7-8 rooms total on 2 floors. The parking is very limited and challenging. The road to the hotel is not paved. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Not enough hot water and n bathroom. Breakfast is made to order by the owner. Usually eggs and fruits etc. the owner is very nice and welcoming and very helpful. Overall great stay. All attractions nearby.

Excellent hotel but up a very steep hill and then an unmade road. You either need a car or be fit enough to climb the hill

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The property was on a dirt road in a residential part of town away from most shops but was a short walk into downtown. Rooms were relatively clean except there was a hair on one of the bed sheets. Floors were mopped each day which was helpful. Breakfast was light and simple.

Mountain Faro is a simple, clean, and well-located property, with a good breakfast included. Yes it is up a hill, but you are in Monte Verde and everything is up or down a hill. The staff, led by Lady, are lovely, welcoming, and so helpful - including recommending restaurants, helping to arrange tours, and arranging transport as needed (for tours, or if you just don't want to walk the hills). I highly recommend it.

We booked day-of after a change in plans and were just looking for a cheap and decent place to stay overnight. We were pleasantly surprised. This place is adorable. No frills, but the room and premises were clean, and staff was friendly and helpful. They served a delicious, made-to-order breakfast. No A/C wasn't a problem as the temperature dropped at night. Walkable to town for dinner and drinks. Check in and check out were easy.

A beautiful stay at a lovely family B&B.

A lovely little stay at Mountain Faro. The family are so helpful and friendly, they really can't do enough for you. They helped us book trips and transport(for the same price as anywhere else). They gave us some good recommendations as well. The breakfast is simple and great- fresh fruit, eggs on toast, fresh coffee and juice. The rooms are big, the beds are comfortable, with a lovely shower that has great water pressure and is nice and warm. The wifi is also really good. For the price, i cant imagine this place could be beaten. Especially considering it has a couple of lovely reataurants within touching distance.

Nice place. Helpful service. Breakfast is pretty much from 7-9 am. This town has a lot of steep and less than ideal streets and limited parking. The property access requires a steep climb to get to an unpaved street. The property has a wonderful view when it is clear. Simple, clean updated room with nice bathroom and hot shower with good water pressure.
