Recently restored apartment situated in an historic 16th Century ex-convent, whose significance is recognized by the Department of Monuments and Fine Arts of Siena. Furnished with great care down to the finest detail, ideal for a romantic weekend or a pleasant week with family immersed in art and nature. Trip to Tuscany

We spent four nights here and used this as a base for Sienna, Chianti, and other cities in the area. The place was just as described in the VRBO and we loved it. They even provided extras to get us started like milk, coffee, juice and other items which made our evening much nicer. The beds were very comfortable. The one thing to be aware of is the GPS may give you a different city than Sienna but follow it be because it’s right. And the night sky is amazing. Be ready for country quiet and the rooster waking you up. We enjoyed this. It is a quick drive to multiple destinations but you will need to drive to dinner or breakfast if not cooking in, but again, the relaxing away from it all was worth it for us. We would recommend this place. Lots of parking and very easy communication.

Amazing apartment!!!

This apartment is amazing! Perfect location for staying and exploring La Toscana. Very clean and spacious for a famliy of 5! The apartment was exactly as the description and photos. The host was always on top of us and our needs during our stay. We truly recommend to stay there.

This was such a wonderful place and exactly what we were looking for. It is located in quiet beautiful surroundings and close enough to visit Siena and other attractions. Andrea was very friendly and was a wealth of information. For dinner, there is a restaurant a couple of minutes drive away and the food is excellent. There really is nothing that we would have changed.

Serenity Now

Our only glitch was our inability to follow the directions accurately to check-in!! But that little miss did absolutely nothing to spoil the professionalism and geniality that characterized my rental experience of this delightful property. It is beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, and uniquely positioned. It was an ideal location for us from which to easily explore (by car) a variety of Tuscan towns, and as others have said before us, it was a space of serenity to return to after a day’s hiking or touring.

Quaint Tuscan Getaway

La Senesina, is a lovely place to stay if you want to immerse yourself in the Tuscan country side. The apartment is in an old monastery filled with beautiful original features like huge timber beams on the ceiling and terracotta flooring. The furnishing are modern but work really well with it's surrounds. Also, you get very spoilt with some of Andrea's amazing photography hanging on the walls. It's lovely and clean and well appointed with extras like basic cooking condiments, cereals, jams, even laundry liquid etc. Barbara and Andrea are great hosts. Any questions we had were answered promptly. Our one recommendation is to have a car as it is a little out of the way to walk to places. But in saying that, the remoteness is a nice compromise as it is so peaceful. We would definitely recommend La Senesina. Thank you Barbara and Andrea for sharing such a special place with us.

Lovely apartment, lovely location!

We were sad to leave La Senesina! The historic building and the surrounding countryside are beautiful. The apartment itself is tastefully decorated and thoughtfully stocked. It served as a great base for us as we explored Tuscany. Despite extreme heat during our visit, we remained comfortable with help from high-quality fans. Interactions with the owners were smooth and pleasant. We hope to return!

A lovely, well equipped apartment just outside Siena! Apartment was spotless and in the countryside. Host was very attentive and gave us an excellent overview of the apartment and the local area. Was wonderful to have the fridge stocked with some milk, juice and water when we arrived so that we didn’t need to rush to the grocery store. We would love to stay again when we return to Seina!

Very nice property and wonderful hosts

The location and atmosphere was wonderful. Unfortunately there was a powerful storm in the Siena area (all of Italy as well) and the power went out after the first day and did not get repaired until after we left. Andrea put us up in a nearby hotel the last night. The location was great for visiting Siena and many of the surrounding small towns. The location is remote and serene but close enough to services. A rental car is a must.

Lovely apartment in a fantastic location

This apartment is in a great place for exploring Tuscany and the guide that Andrea had put together was so helpful. He talked us through it and recommended places to visit and eat. There were 4 adults in our party and there was plenty of space. So many thoughtful touches such as milk, tea and coffee provided. It makes such a difference when you’re self catering to not have to go straight to the shops for essentials. We were going to eat out on Monday but it’s worth noting that many of the restaurants in the guide (and generally) seem to be closed on Mondays. WiFi worked well and we closed the shutters during the day and the apartment stayed quite cool despite very hot weather. The dyson fans work well. We would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful country apartment close to Siena

Andrea and Barbara were absolutely fantastic throughout our stay. The location is as described with the apartment away from the crowds of Siena but within a short drive to the town or many of the other places within the region. I highly recommend staying here or any other location that Andrea and Barbara own. Also, if you are a keen photographer, be sure to inquire about photography tours when you make your reservations.

The apartment was as wonderful as advertised, extremely clean and most comfortable. Andrea provided a comprehensive listing of sights to see and good restaurants in several locations. My favourite was Soloperpassione in Santa Colomba. Andrea was an ideal host and very responsive. The location is very handy to visit key highlights in Tuscany and we would definitely rent this apartment again and highly recommend it.

A wonderful home in amazing countryside close to Siena

We really enjoyed our short stay in your wonderful home in amazing countryside close to Siena. The apartment is situated in an imposing, but intriguing ancient building nestled between lush hills. It is furnished in a comfortable & stylish manner, perfect for travellers who yearn for something a little different. Once there you feel remote but safe & of course Siena is a short drive away. We appreciated Andrea’s advice on restaurants in Santa Columba & Siena & enjoyed some delicious meals. Our explorations took us to Volterra, which was amazing, as well as Colle Di Val D’Elsa which was an unexpected discovery. A peaceful haven close to special places.

We loved our two weeks in this unique part of the world in a special apartment owned by generous people who understand what travellers need. Art, food, isolated walks, a warm home to come back to at the end of the day where we could review our experiences by the fire.
