I don’t know how but our stay at SML just keeps getting better. This property is situated perfectly making use of the glorious sunshine and view of the lake. This property has everything required for a relaxing vocation.

The lake was beautiful and the location was wonderful. The home was clean and inviting and it was great to be able to bring the dogs. We loved having all the great water toys available to us. We rented a boat and it was nice to be able to have it right at the dock. The downside was the exterior maintenance.

We loved our stay at Smith Mountain Lake! The house was in the perfect location for swimming, tubing, kayaking and easy boat access, with the marina conveniently close by. It was the perfect size and had all the amenities we needed. Anne was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean, though the bedrooms and living areas could use a bit more attention from the cleaning crew. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! This beautiful home has an amazing view of the lake and all the amenities you could possibly need. We stayed there as a family of 4 along with my parents and dog. All were comfortable in great beds, and all had their own space when desired. Great central spaces for gathering as well. Excellent and supportive communication from Anne!! Would absolutely stay again!!

SML Getaway

Great home, lots of room on the dock. Deep clean water. Great for swimming, fishing or just floating around. Nice neighbor, plenty of parking and plenty of floats for the lake.

Place needs some maintenance. But overall could be great. Beautiful view of the lake.

It was clean and had a nice view! A big thing is no stairs or path to the dock. It is a steep hill with wet grass that was quite long and slippery. This also caused a lot of dirt to be tracked into the house. The outdoor furniture was unusable. Nothing was cleaned off and the cushions were soaked. The outside was not prepared for guests at all. The inside was nice! Comfortable sofa and big table. Kitchen well stocked with appliances and utensils. The loft has a bedroom and bathroom but no door or curtain. No privacy. It has a nice view but very bright very early and very open to the downstairs. I wouldn’t classify it as a bedroom just because it has a bed in it. There were a lot of different kinds of bugs in the house. Nothing awful but some pest control might be nice as the summer progresses. Anne was very responsive and great to deal with. There were a couple of issues but at our request were not addressed while we were there as did not cause any inconvenience for us. Having two refrigerators for drinks and food was great. Tons of lake toys and life vests. We had our own so didn’t use them but great variety!

Love the Lake House

My family and I spent another vacation week at the Peace of Paradise Lake House hosted by Anne. Trying to find time as a family for 3 grown boys with busy careers and one married is impossible except when it comes to the Lake House. I gave them the dates and they made the time to show up. We checked on Friday and by 4:30PM the boat was at the dock and tee times were made for two rounds of golf. We have stayed at the Lake House many times and we have no intention of going to any other location. The house has a warm, inviting, family feel that I haven't found in other places. It's always clean, well maintained and the view of the lake, well, its perfect for that morning cup of coffee. I strongly encourage anyone looking for a great house on a beautiful lake to contact Anne. She will take excellent care of you. My boys are already wanting to plan next year's trip.

September Visit

This was a track out time for our grandchildren and what a delight it was. The home is the cleanest pet friendly home we have experienced. There are plenty of activities inside and out for everyone and space to spread out and enjoy. We had a nightly fire in the outdoor pit with hot dogs and S'mores. The dock provided nice space for docking our rented boat. The quiet cove was perfect for young ones and older ones to paddle board and swim. Unfortunately the fish were not interested in our varied bait that week. Our host, Anne, is amazing and quickly answered our questions before we arrived. Again, delightful!

Funtime with the Fam

This property is a great choice if you have pets and an active family! We had a couple things come up and the host was EXCEPTIONALLY responsive and supportive. It has everything you need for a family and it is a stone’s throw from the marina which is good for boating. My only suggestion is to fix the sliding glass doors so you can use them to go out to the deck. Otherwise this property is a great choice!

Perfect!

We stayed for 1 week. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient. The house was amazing. The views were unbelievable. We couldnt ask for a better property. The one thing that I really appreciated the most about the house itself besides the loaction and views was the space. Usually when you go on a family vacation you’re either sharing a drawer with someone or you dont have enough hangars etc. but in this house there are 3 humungous closets with plenty of hangars and each room has more then enough dresser space. Then add on the fact that you have 3 full bathrooms a hige dining table. 2 huge wrap around couches and chairs to boot. It was peaceful not feeling cramped. Highly reccomend this place.

Amazing Vacation!

SML is our absolute favorite place to be and spending a week in this beautiful house made our vacation even better! Every room was perfectly decorated and made us feel like we were at home. Plenty of games and room to spread out for everyone! There were clear instructions for check in and check out and our host was quick to respond with any questions we had. We hope to book again in the future.

Fabulous Stay

The house and location are wonderful. We arrived to a super clean vacation rental, with all the amenities you could ask for. The owners checked in with us and answered all of our questions very timely. I cannot recommend this property enough, we were so lucky it was available the week we were looking to visit SML. The property is close enough to the Food Lion, fishing on the dock is super fun for the kids. We brought our own pop up canopy for the deck to have a bit more shade and to enjoy sitting outside on the few rainy days we had.

Relaxing Dream vacation

Anne is a wonderful renter. The house is very relaxing and plenty of space to have an amazing time with family. Everything is there for you that you would need. Communication about the property is very efficient. This is our second year and we had a memorable time both years.
