Worst Hotel Ever

The website claims that there is an all day restaurant and evening bar at the property. This is false. There is a Bistro open from 7:30-10:30 only, and its buffet only. There are some lovely tables along floor to ceiling windows looking out into the city, but those are reserved for the public. Guests are crammed into tight rows of tables at the back, behind the server station. There were not any amenities in the room, no kettle, no glasses, no toiletries, no instant coffee or tea. NOT EVEN AN IRON. You had to go down to the front desk with your clothes, and you were escorted into a closet behind the desk with an iron and ironing board. AND you had to wait until the desk clerk was free to escort you. You could not control your own room temperature, no matter what buttons you pushed on the thermostat. Instead, you had to go down to the front desk to get it adjusted. The website advertises updated rooms, but these are only on ONE FLOOR out of SIX. My room was decorated with random leftover furniture from the 1980s. The final straw was when I tried to take a shower, and I couldn't get anything but lukewarm water. Although listed as 4 Star, it is only 1 Star at best. This hotel should be either downgraded to 1 star or removed from Hotels.com until the management addresses these issue.

The rooms and property are nice enough. Shower leaked every time we used it and the walls are THIN. We heard everyone in the hallways and outside like crazy. Incredibly thin blankets and rock hard pillows.

Not the worst hotel I’ve stayed at, but……

Not the best either. This May have been a 4 star at one point, many years ago but certainly not 4 star service now. Aircon ineffective. Rooms dated. No tea or coffee facilities in the room but there was a small minibar - if you don’t mind the drinks at room temp and out of a bottle. There are no cups or glasses in the rooms and when we asked at reception on the evening, the response was less than helpful. The receptionist bluntly didn’t want to be disturbed and told us that the bar etc were shut (11pm, when most 4 star hotels would still be at the very least providing room service) and that there were no glasses available anywhere. Very strange hotel. More like Faulty Towers

Convenient for central station and Republicca Metro. Breakfast is nice and the staff are excellent. However, if you have a room at the front of the building it can be very noisy. We were on the first floor and the vibrations from the tram line outside cam be felt well into the night, as well as staff coming and going from the utility room on the second floor The doors and walls are not thick, so any sound from the next room or corridor travels. I would recommend asking for a room high up, particularly of you're a light sleeper!

The breakfast buffet was organized to provide a wide range of choice in compact area. Room was quiet and roomy by European standards. Hotel was a moderate 20.min walk from the Centralle St. and a 5 min walk to the Repubblica metro stop.

There is room to park the car in front while checking in and overnight parking is right around the corner. Staff made check in a breeze and recommended a fantastic restaurant for dinner. The room was huge and there was a double rain shower. Breakfast was extensive.

Staff was fantastic, breakfast was sufficient with plenty of options. Bacon needs to be cooked much better. The major issue that I had was that the bed was incredibly firm and I had problems getting comfortable and didn’t get enough sleep because of the poor bedding and flat pillows.
