We arrived at the hotel after a flight at 11:00 PM. We waited outside the terminal in the cold for about 30 minutes until the shuttle arrived to pick us up and other guests.
The check-in process went smoothly, but we arrived very hungry after long hours of travel and asked for food. As this is a 4-star hotel, this should not have been an issue. We were told that food could be ordered from the bar, which was supposed to be open late. Unfortunately, the bartender had already gone home, so ordering food was not possible.
The staff agreed to bring us soup from the kitchen and charged us €52 for four small bowls of soup. This was not filling at all, so we asked for another round, which cost another €52. The pricing was completely excessive and felt exploitative, especially since the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere with no alternatives nearby.
We also asked for an extra blanket for the children and were given an uncomfortable wool blanket instead of a duvet. When we complained, we were told that at such hours there is no room service.
The room itself was functional and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. The front desk staff were polite and helpful but were unable to escalate the issue to a manager.
My recommendation is not to choose this hotel if you are arriving late at night, as the level of service is only average in those hours. Food outside of breakfast is priced like a luxury restaurant, with no justification—simply taking advantage of the lack of alterna
