La Cala de Mijas is a coastal town in the municipality of Mijas, situated between Fuengirola and Marbella on Spain’s southern Mediterranean coast. It started as a small fishing village and has grown into a well-loved seaside community while retaining much of its traditional character.

La Cala’s coastline includes well-kept beaches that are popular with families and sun-seekers, with the Senda Litoral coastal path connecting La Cala with neighbouring areas, making for scenic seaside strolls and easy bike rides.
