Modern, nice apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, centrally located in the coastal village of La Cala de Mijas, only 800 m from the sea. The residential area (Alamar) is located within convenient walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops. The popular village of La Cala de Mijas has a genuine Spanish character with nice  squares and restaurant areas along the beach. The apartment has a modern light style with a living room that leads onto the large terrace. The terrace is about 40 square meters and is fenced with a lockable gate. The full kitchen is bright and fresh with granite countertops. The apartment has ceramic floors and two nice bathrooms fully tiled. Air conditioning and central heating in all the rooms of the apartment. The residential area has a lovely large pool (20 meters from the terrace) to relax in as well as your own paddle tennis court (reservation free of charge at the security guard). The apartment is very well suited for families or two couples! The area is fenced and has a 24-hour security, there are many parking spaces outside the houses, which means that you can always park a car in direct proximity to the apartment. A well-stocked Lidl shop with its own butchers is available only 150-200 meters from the apartment. La Cala de Mijas has over 100 restaurants in the village, good service and a well-kept beach. A wonderful beach promenade has been built from La Cala de Mijas which ties together the various coastal villages - you walk easily all the way to the Riviera del Sol, Calahonda and to the pleasant marina of Cabopino with its restaurants and beach lifestyle. This distance is about 6 kilometers long. In the immediate vicinity there is the 9-hole golf course La Noria Golf - within a few kilometers there are 18-hole courses such as El Chaparral and Calanova Golf. Within 10 miles there are over 60 golf courses, a handful of these counts as some of the worlds best. A few kilometers from the village is also a horse race track for those with interest in horses. The town of Fuengirola is only 9 km east of the village - west, the well-known and exclusive city of Marbella is only 20 km away. Marbella has the most extensive offer on the Costa del Sol of amusement, restaurant life and exclusive shops. 
Malaga Airport can be reached in just 25 minutes drive (33 km) - it is also possible to use public transport by train from the airport to Fuengirola and then by bus to La Cala de Mijas. Public transport is normally every 30 minutes during the day and slightly less often in the evenings. The bus stop is about 200 meters from the apartment, which means that you can manage without a car in a simple way!   The apartment is modern with 3 rooms, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen with connection to a small laundry room with washing machine. Unique is the really large terrace, partially covered why the shadow is always there no matter the time of day. Sliding doors to the terrace from the living room and both bedrooms. Centrally controlled air conditioning and central heating in all the rooms of the apartment. In the hall there is a drawer and hooks to hang clothes on. In the drawer, the remote control is located to open the large car port needed to enter the area to park a car. A fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge / freezer, stovetop with fan, oven and plenty of work surfaces. Baby Package €39: including cot and high chair, on request and subject to availability. The courtesy set is provided only for the beginning and not for the entire stay.

This is a lovely property with a huge ground floor terrace which we used every day (the highlight I think). There was sun for sunbathing on the terrace from around 10:30am to 3pm each day, otherwise it was all shaded, but still lovely to sit on with a cold drink and a good book. The pool is a 30 second walk from the terrace gate, great to cool down. Aircon was ideal to cool things down for an hour before bedtime. We ate out, so boiling a few eggs was as much coking as we did, but the kitchen is a good size with all the utensils you need and a huge refridgerator and seperate freezer (needed for the ice-packs, ice-cubes & ice-cream). Dishwasher was great also. Large TV and great WiFi so we setup our Netflix/Prime accounts on the TV and were able to watch programs we liked on occasions.

Very Enjoyable Stay

My wife and I have just returned to the UK after a 4-week stay at the property, which was more than adequate for our needs. We had not experienced self-check-in before which we found a little impersonal, although Adela at Costarentals was very helpful with our minor inquiries over the phone. We found having a Lidl on our doorstep very handy, and the short walk into town and to the beach, with many lovely restaurants offering a variety of cuisine, was very easy. We rented a car to explore the area so were grateful for the parking next to the apartment inside the complex although there was also plenty of free parking in the street outside. Comfortable beds, good kitchen equipment, and a smart tv all added to the experience. Would recommend.

Lovely Holiday

The apartment was lovely and spacious and had everything you needed for your stay. The terrace was huge and a really great asset to the property. It was close to bars and shops and in a great place for getting into town. The only negative I have is that there were no beds around the pool area although there was a chair available in the apartment.
