The Purple House

We had a wonderful time at the Purple House at Beach Walk Resort. The house was very nicely equipped and located well. We enjoyed the pool and the access to Lake Michigan. We had a wonderful time and intend to return for a longer stay next summer.

Wonderful House with Everything One Could Need

My family really enjoyed the open floor concept of the house. Everything was clean there were beach toys and chairs for use. We enjoyed the screened in porch, the balcony, the back porch, and the fire pit area. The community has so many amenities available most of which are included in your stay. We enjoyed the concert in the park on Saturday. The beach is beautiful. Definitely coming back next year!

Perfect house for our family!

This house was wonderful for our family. Very clean and kitchen was equipped for cooking meals. There were sand toys, a wagon and chairs for the beach. Only minor complaint was that the smoke detectors were very sensitive and went off almost every time we cooked. And the pool was closed 2 of the days so that was unfortunate. But we went to the beach instead so that was ok!

Wonderful home and community! We will be back!

The house is beautiful, located on a cul-de-sac. We spent much time on the screened porch and walked everywhere. While the ad may mention renting a golf cart, it's not available at this time. I'm hopeful that will change next year with more availability. The only people who had them were renters whose homes came with them. We had 2 issues with the home that weren't resolved during our stay- 1) the outside shower didn't work and 2) the water dispenser in the fridge didn't work. The 2nd was no big deal but the first made it hard to properly rinse after a day in the sand. This home is well cared for I appreciated the additional dish soap, laundry soap, etc... The community is simply magical and worth visiting. I had no idea and the pictures didn't do it justice. For me it's Cape May meets Key West. We've already booked for next year (another house).

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at A Wine Down. Our only complaint is that our stay was too short! We loved the proximity to the beach & pool. The screened in porch was perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee in the morning. The kids loved the bunk bed room. The house was very clean & comfortable. It was our first visit to the Beachwalk community and we’ll be back!

Relaxing, conveniently located weekend

I rented this property over a long weekend with a group of girlfriends - Although I’ve stayed in this community in the past and come back for obvious reasons. We love the quaint neighborhood, quiet mornings, convenient coffee/ice cream shop and Lake Michigan beach all less than a 5 minute walk away! We found a few great dinner, drinks and live music options in Michigan City and New Buffalo, all 5-15 minute drive away! The house was cleanly and quiet, and equipped with everything we needed - Kitchen supplies, beach chairs, hairdryers, etc. We’d definitely stay again!

We visited March 2021. Good weather. House worked great. All necessities included in kitchen regarding utensils, plates, glasses, can opener, fire starter, scissors. Some dishes appeared stained or dirty. House clean. Enough towels. Loved location, walking distance to three parks. No golf cart available for rental.
