It’s a beautiful house turn into a 6 bedroom hotel very well kept perfect for people that are looking for a quiet place. The neighborhood isn’t that pretty but within 5 blocks you get to parque la plancha and el corredor gastronómico

Casa Italia is close enough to all the main sites to visit in Merida, while being far enough away to be in a quiet neighborhood so you can rest. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we loved the private pool and courtyard for relaxation after a long day of siteseeing.

The property is well located near the center of Merida, just a couple blocks away. No restaurant, just a small kitchen that serves breakfast, no lunch nor dinners. Also there's no room service. The rooms are well equipped. It has a small pool where you can relax, closes at 21 hrs. Overall, it's a good hotel if you want something without any noise, however, it's just a room. Don't expect nothing fancy if that's your thing.

The staff were excellent - helpful and friendly. The hotel was nice and it had a “trust bar” where customer serve themselves and record their purchase in a book to settle at checkout. The room was clean and very spacious - but the shower was very weak and most days had no hot water. The area was convenient but the paving was very uneven and it was very dark at night. But it was safe and quiet.

The air conditioner was musty and loud, however, the rest of the stay was pleasant. The breakfast included is continental, and decent, albeit small. The cost for the egg option is fine at 85 pesos. The keys provided for the front door were confusing (all same shape) but luckily we did not need them late at night when the hotel is apparently unattended (which seems a bit odd? what if guests have issues or an emergency?). For these reasons, I would probably not return, given the sheer volume of decent hotels for similar or lower costs currently available in central Merida.

El lugar es como en las fotos, el personal es muy amable con turistas nacionales y extranjeros, la ubicación puede parecer algo desolada, pero al menos no tuve ningún problema. En lo personal, la única retroalimentación es que pueden empezar a renovar ciertas partes de la propiedad (como enchufes o cerraduras) para mantenerse vigentes y agregar un poco más de opciones de desayuno.
