Downtown old farmhouse happiness
Great location just a few yards from downtown Meredith. Walk to everything. Lakefront view. We stayed in the upper 2/1.
Pros: well kept old house with screened in upper front porch overlooking Meredith bay. Water pressure and hot water were fantastic. Furniture was modern and comfortable. Basement access for washers and driers ($1 but he has a working change machine!) Modern appliances.
Cons: stairs would be difficult for someone with mobility issues. Both my wife and I are over 65 and had no difficulties but be aware that this is an upper condo. Selection of tv stations was limited to under 20 channels. We used our Netflix and Prime on the pre installed apps so no problem.
Overall extremely positive. Great and easy communications with the owner. There were no bath towels or washcloths when we arrived but owner immediately responded to text and directed us to a locker where we found the needed items. Overall great experience. Old but clean and updated unit. Would recommend and will likely ask for another week next year.
