"Nothing comes closer to perfect than Jen's place."

Forest Suite is located just a few minutes south from the village of Mendocino on 5 acres of beautiful redwoods. This 550 sq. ft. apartment plus 200sq ft deck, is upstairs from my 2,000 sq. ft artist’s studio, which is not in use when guests are staying. Built entirely with redwood, recycled fir and barn wood with cement counters and shower this romantic getaway is a very special spot.

The south wall is all windows facing the deck with deck chairs and a table with two chairs for dining overlooking the surrounding towering redwiids. It’s very peaceful and sunny and is frequented by honeymooners, artists, writers and those seeking total privacy. A few books and screenplays have been written here!

There is an eclectic book and DVD library to enjoy, internet, Direct TV and some boardgames. For your comfort there is a cozy gas fireplace, a ceiling fan, a standing fan and removable window screens in the hall closet. The kitchen is fully stocked and there are also yoga mats and weights for your use.

Take a walk through the forest; you will see a TRAIL sign by the driveway which will take you through the property and out onto Gordon Lane for a longer walk. There is a bench along the trail and also a deck in the trees for yoga or meditation, or just relax at the Suite and enjoy the tranquility.

Our second visit to this property did not disappoint. Very cozy & quiet studio apartment tucked next to a forest just a few minutes south of Mendocino Village. The fully stocked kitchen is nice if you like to cook some of your own meals. Just pick up a few groceries at Harvest Market in the village. Lots of options for preparing coffee or tea as well as just about every utensil and small appliance you may need. Also full size fridge, oven & range. If staring into the trees should bore you, the host has books, DVDs & TV, yoga mats and a cooler for beach forays. The memory foam bed is very comfortable & linens and towels are very good quality. Shower is small but hot water works quickly. Love the skylights but was glad the host provides eye masks for sleeping in. Wi-Fi works well & host was quick to respond via text to any questions. Terrific place to chill and unwind.

This place is pure magic! A short walk to most stunning views of the coast, cosy cabin in the woods, well stocked kitchen, a little fireplace.. 5 mins from town of Mendocino. I wish we didn’t have to leave. Don’t hesitate to book it!

Everything was absolutely perfect. The space was clean, beautiful, peaceful, charming, it was just perfect. We will definitely be coming back, we came for our anniversary and both of our birthdays. Jen was incredible, she was responsive the entire time, and answered all of our questions quickly. We had left an item and she had it shipped back to us which was above and beyond expectations. We did a 50 mile bike ride and the suite was right on the map which was perfect, two minute drive to all of the shops, restaurants, and coffee shops. It was so close we ran to coffee one morning, could not recommend enough.

Me and my husband were looking for a Fall Break escape so we decided to book this place. We both enjoyed the place as it was peaceful and quiet. The only thing is when we arrived the coffee pot had leftover coffee and and was not washed. Other than that we liked the location that it was surrounded by Redwood Trees. The place was easy to navigate and Jen was very responsive. We had a very relaxing time.

The forest suite is surrounded by gorgeous trees which provide a beautiful view from inside the suite and on the deck. The host was a super great communicator throughout my stay. It is close the community of Mendicino as well as Fort Bragg, where the ocean views are spectacular. I highly recommend this place!

Wonderful location

Cute little place, quiet and great location within easy distance to nearby towns. Bed was not comfortable a bit harder then we prefer, TV (smart tv) was intermittent and only turned on and worked when it wanted. Charming place but cleanliness to be desired. It was dirty, smelled bad, musty and spiderwebs inside in a number of places. Could use a deep cleaning, windows, cob webs, etc. Host was great with excellent communication.

Roadtrip

This place was everything we had hoped for after our month long, Pacific NW roadtrip. Was able to actually kick back and enjoy the peace and quiet of this Artist's Suite. Incredible redwood, repurposed fir and barnwood structure.Was beautiful decorated, so very comfortable,and close to the coast.Definitely a place we'd love to come back to and stay longer!
