Whilst advertised as a 4star this hotel is well and truly tiered and in need of some love. I booked it for the location and the fact it apparently had a bar on site and restaurant- well the bar only opens friday night - useless when trying to entertain clients . Restaurant was only open for breakfast- the staff and food at breakfast were fantastic

Theatre stay

Stayed here with a friend to go to go to a show at the nearby theatre. We booked a twin & was upgraded to a family room with 2 queen beds, which was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean. Water temperature & pressure could’ve been better but otherwise it met our expectations & served the purpose. Car parking was available & used, with access from the rear of the hotel. Close to restaurants & the theatre, 3 stops on the tram. Only one elevator was working when we were there (& it wasn’t a large one)so there was a some delay in waiting for it to arrive. Hotel staff were friendly & welcoming.

Love the St Kilda Beach Hotel

Thank you for the generous upgrade of our room. We had a wonderful stay and a most delicious breakfast in the restaurant. We find the staff at this hotel are always welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We will be back.

Friendly staff, very helpful. Good location for exploring St Kilda and and easy acces to the Tram for Melbourne CBD. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
