The wintertime 'John's Way' cross-country ski, snowshoe, and fat bike trails provide connectivity to Mazama and the Upper Methow trail system, offering a ski-in/ski-out experience away from the Mazama trailhead bustle, yet conveniently close to the store.
Within a short drive to various trailheads, including Cutthroat Lake (20 minutes), Washington Pass (21 minutes), and Maple Pass (27 minutes), serving as an excellent hiking base-camp for exploring the North Cascades, especially during larch season.

Getting Around: Getting here: May to November, from Seattle and the westside, you can drive over highway 20 and Washington Pass (check WSDOT for closures). Alternate, and winter routes from Seattle are via I90, Snoqualmie Pass and Blewett Pass, or highway 2 over Stevens Pass (check WSDOT for driving conditions). Combine these routes and you have the scenic Cascade Loop.
