"Vistamar Maunabo" apartment is a home away from home . Amazing ocean views.

Welcome to PR ... "Vistamar" Ocean view Apartment is located in a private gated community in an old fashioned city called "Maunabo", which is approximately an hour drive from the San Juan International Airport (SJU). Our place is more suitable for a family relaxing gateway or couples retreat. The community offer security vigilance 24/7. Security guards are very strict and they will reinforce all the rules in order to keep the area safe and peaceful for guests and residents. Apartment is located in the first floor of building 20, but you still need to go down one set of stairs. You will be able to enjoy spectacular ocean views from all the rooms and amenities. They are 2 outdoors areas(balconies) with benches that offer the most amazing views from the community. Open patio is perfect to sit at night and watch the moon or starts and listen the sound of the waves even from distance or simply to have a drink and enjoy the views and relax. Situated near one secluded small beach, just a 5 minutes walk from the apartment is Playa Punta Tuna and a short 10 minute drive to Playa Larga. It is also walking distance to the historical landmark, Punta Tuna Lighthouse as well as the natural preserve Humedal Punta Tuna.

The apartment has 3 bedrooms and 2 newly renovated bathrooms. The living room has a daybed for extra sleep space. The kitchen is fully equipped with all needed appliances, pots, dishes and pans, and everything you will need to cook or warm up your meals. Each room is equipped with AC units and ceilings fans. We offer 2 designated parking slots right in front of the apartment. Beach accessories are available to take to the beach as desired. Basic supply such as toilet paper, dish soap and showering essentials are provided. In-unit washer/ dryer included. Smart Roko TV with limited cable and pre loaded apps is also available. Wi-Fi password will be given at the moment of check in .

The guest will have access to some amenities such as the community pool and jacuzzi , playground and communal areas .


Maunabo is an old fashioned town on the South-East side of the island facing the Caribbean Sea . You will need a car to drive around the island. The roads are in good conditions, and is an easy drive from the airport.


Maunabo and the cities around offers a variety of restaurants which makes Maunabo one of the greatest stops in the "Chinchorreo " route. For those who are not familiar with the term, "Chinchorreo" is a native word to that locals uses as kiosk and restaurant or bar hopping .This chinchorros serves all kinds of delicious fritters, local plates and drinks. Maunabo offers many local restaurants , to include some is, El Salmorejo Bar and Grill (6 min drive) where you may try a variety of creative drinks and great music or El Nuevo Horizonte restaurant (15 minutes drive) where you can enjoy scenic views and local dishes. Salseo will offers also breakfast and dinners and is only 3 minutes drive from the apartment, they have their cafe which is more informal and serve breakfast and lunch in the early part of the day and the restaurant that is casual and opens later and also offers drinks , its also a great spot for pictures with some huge crabs and lobster figures .

Maunabo, will get you a good taste of how the locals live and enjoy their time in this Caribbean island. If you are not afraid to drive a little bit more, then you can find yourself in the historic Old San Juan area, where you can visit "El Morro", which is a Fort and also their beautiful and colorful historic houses and streets, with many bars, shops and restaurants,
Puerto Rico is also known for it's bio luminescent bays in different areas of PR, some which offer night time kayak tours. You may also book catamaran tours to Icacos island , where you can enjoy some snorkeling, food, drinking and music in crystal clear waters.

El Yunque is our National Rainforest. If you enjoy hiking and outdoors, then El Yunque is a must see for you! After a long walk through La Mina Waterfall Trail, enjoy a swim in the cool refreshing waters.

If you are looking for more adventures and don't mind driving, then you should go to Toro Verde Adventure Park which includes high trail attractions, rope courses through the jungle and and one of the longest ziplines in the world.

You can also visit Vieques or Culebra islands , to visit this 2 keys , you have to drive to Ceiba and take a Ferry that will take you to the keys for a small fee . You can buy the tickets online .
