When I think of A-frame mountain house, this is quintessentially what I think of; and the pics undersell how beautiful the house really is. I'm really into architecture that is both crisp and respectful of its environment, and this place is exactly that. I loved sitting outside and looking back at the frame.
Inside, it was well appointed, clean and, comfortable to kick back and relax. The wifi was fast and I did a couple of work Zoom calls, but keep in mind that you are up in the mountains of WV so cell signal stopped well before the bottom of the hill. I grew up on a farm with a single draw well, so I'm used to water that has a slight sentiment and/or odor but if you're finicky, just bring a jug or two of distilled water. We brought sheets towels etc but didn't need to as we found all of already there and set up for us!
Keep your location in mind in case you want to eat out. It's not like walking down the block in Philly, but the two places we found about 20 miles away were excellent.
Check in was easy, and took less time than a hotel. The property manager / owner was helpful and stayed in communication the whole weekend. I don't really have any negatives to say about a place if you're wanting to get away and (semi) disconnect from the online world.
