Absolutely love our stays at the Brick House

The Brick House is beautiful! The location and private beach area is amazing. The house is gorgeous and the kitchen is stocked with anything you may need. Absolutely love coming here. This is our 4th year vacationing here and we plan to return for our annual Memorial Day Trip for many years to come.

The Brick house is awesome !!

A group of 7 guys came to the area to ride in the 500 mile cancer ride on the 12th of February. We needed a place with lots of room for all our gear and a place to park sleds and trailers. This place was perfect - every day someone said we couldn’t have found a better place. The pictures and advertisements were spot on. The view from the brick house over the lake was great during the winter and I can imagine it being even better in the summer. If the cancer ride starts in Manitosh waters next year we will be back to the brick house. Thank you thank you

Up North Get Away

Our group loved the Brick House! It had a lot of room and the view was amazing! The house was very clean and had a great location. We had no issues and the group had a great weekend going to the Fall Art Tour in the area. Looking forward to using this house in the future.

We love the Brick House

We very much enjoyed our weekend stay at the Brick House, our first time there, and it will be perfect for our family visit next summer (2026) over the 4th of July Holiday. This visit was to "check the place out" and, our expectations were more than met. The place was spotless when we arrived and everything was as promised or better. The setting on Alder Lake is beautiful as are the views from most rooms. We got to see the peak of fall color and some cranberry harvesting as well. In addition to next summer, we look forward to another fall visit as well in 2026. Thanks, again. The Tenges family.

Spacious, very clean and great views.

Everything was great with the house. As soon as you walk in you feel like you are at home, it is always very clean, spacious, furnishing and the kitchen has everything you need. Not only are the views fabulous the screened in porch is definitely great for enjoying evening or morning coffee with no bugs. We highly recommend the Brick House.

Everything your big group needs for North Woods fun!

What a fantastic, hidden gem! Our group of 10 adults was extremely comfortable, cozy, and very satisfied with this spacious, beautiful place that had everything we needed for a cross-country ski weekend! One extra-special discovery that ought to be highlighted in the listing was that the house sits across the street from an beautiful, extensive (mostly flat) groomed classic x-country ski trail system! There are other great trails in the area, but you can also just ski right out the front door! And then come home to an extremely well equipped kitchen (we cooked all our meals from scratch, no problem!), two large living spaces (each with a real-wood fireplace and plenty of wood), a huge dining room table perfect for big group games, a spacious two car garage, plenty of games and puzzles, lots of bedrooms. You won't lack for anything and you cannot beat the location for North Woods fun!! The host was extremely responsive, with great local tips, and very accommodating.

Comfortable up north home

Alder Lake is a beautiful lake on the Manitowish Chain and we thoroughly enjoyed this well appointed home as our Base for exploring the many lakes. Becca was very helpful.

Brick house 2020

Enjoyed stay. Extremely quite and peaceful. Beautiful setting on lake. House was very spacious and extremely clean. Two docks with room for boats. Lots of fire wood supplied for gatherings around large fire pit. Plenty of outside seating to enjoy outdoors .

Nice property!

We made the best for snowmobiling, looks like we missed all the snow! We ended up trailering up to Mercer and rode north from there. Trails were great. The house was really nice n plenty of room with all the amenities needed. Thank you!

Spacious clean home on sandy frontage

Very spacious home for everyone to be able to get quiet time if needed. Nice sandy lake frontage. The lake this home is on doesn’t have a lot of traffic on it but if you would like more action you could head to some of the other lakes on the chain. This home is very clean and has pretty much everything you would need for your stay. I am very fussy and would definitely rent this home again.

Endless Activities

We had people of all ages and noone at any point was bored! The family rooms are large enough to accommodate quite a few people and there are also plenty of rooms if people want to split up in smaller groups. We had fun sledding and truly enjoyed the views in winter! We're hoping to be able to return in other seasons as well. Wonderful location and very well kept house! Becca was responsive and accommodating, thank you!!

Perfect Northwoods Getaway

We had an amazing stay at the Brick House! Becca was a fantastic host, always quick to respond and very helpful. The house itself was very roomy and yet cozy at the same time. My mother uses a wheelchair and had no problem navigating the house. The house sits right on the lake. It was such a beautiful view. The two docks were great to tie up our fishing boat and fish off of. The provided kayaks were a ton of fun! We definitely hope to return next fall! I would highly recommend the Brick House for your stay in Manitowash Waters!

Excellent stay

We had a great time at the Brick House. The communication with the management was also responsive and polite. Everything was exactly what we wanted and more! So many amenities, such a beautiful property with all the privacy we hoped for. Thanks to Becca for being so helpful with all the questions! Memorable Alder Lake Vacation

Excellent vacation for us and our visiting family members from California. The house and property were all we hoped it would be from what we saw online. A big Thank You to Becca and the Bartelling organization. Both worked hard to make our vacation a memorable and special experience. Very responsive to every one of our questions and requests. We’re already planning to return next year with our family.
