National Cycling Championships

Visit to National Cycling Championships. Hotel was within walking distance of the velodrome. I'd recommend this hotel for a visit to the Co-op arena, Etihad and the Velodrome. Staff were very welcoming and friendly

Great find last minute for a 1 night stay!

Warm welcome, easy to find from A47/M60, plenty of parking, easy to find. Room was lovely and clean with tea/coffee, lots of good quality towels, comfy bed, plenty of pillows, excellent value for money @ £57 including hot breakfast through Hotels.com. Breakfast was a little 'tired' at 9.30am but there was a good choice on offer. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Diamond Lodge hotel

A good place to stay with free parking and close to few bus stops as well. Clean and comfortable budget hotel. Close to Etihad Stadium or take 53 bus to reach there. Breakfast is good but need a little bit more options. Overall I recommend Diamond Lodge Hotel.

A cheap basic hotel

As I had pre booked a room, the booking in system was quite straight forward. I entered into the room, only to find the room smelled of cigarette smoke, I had to leave the room and open the windows to vent the room for a while. The bed was a memory foam mattress, not my favourite. I found it very uncomfortable which gave me a very restless nights (non) sleep. The bathroom was ok, everything you needed - a shower over a bath with clean towels provided. The room decor and furniture was very dated, the room felt dusty & dirty, the carpet needed a very good steam clean or replacing. There were no power points next to the bed, no USB charger points in the room. The wi-fi worked ok. Breakfast available, however I chose to give it a miss, so I can’t comment. Overall, the hotel in my opinion - is a very basic hotel, no thrills average hotel that is in need of a good internal steam clean it looked and smelt dirty. But I suppose ok if you just need to get your head down for a night.

Convenient location for our venue but room was very tired and dated nothing like the photos on website. Missing blinds, curtains hanging off, issue with bed, overpowering chemical smell in the room but too noisy to open the window. Shame because the breakfast was good, the staff pleasant and free parking a bonus. Maybe just an unlucky room allocation.

Hotel decor was dated but clean. Beds comfy. Positioned next to a busy road but if you’re used to traffic noise it’s fine. Noises throughout the night from bedroom above, banging about like herd of elephants, but that is not hotels fault just inconsiderate guests. Breakfast adequate

Excellent location with bus route going directly to city centre about 1 minute on foot from hotel. Convenient, medium-sized car park available. Clean and quiet hotel. Great breakfast. The 3 male receptionists I met at check in, when going to breakfast and at check out were most helpful and polite. Good facilities such as the vending machine that dispensed main meals. Room was spacious, quiet, clean and the shower worked perfectly. This is now my hotel of choice when visiting Manchester.
