Muy cálida, acogedora y relajante cabaña de 2 dormitorios ubicada dentro del Bosque Nacional Hurón en el cristalino Big Creek, un afluente principal del río Ausable. Encontrará las comodidades básicas desde su hogar. Disfrute viendo la vida salvaje, leyendo un libro y cenando en el porche protegido mientras escucha el río. Su estadía puede incluir muchas actividades al aire libre, tales como: visitar la gran comunidad amish de los alrededores con sus granjas ordenadas y tiendas únicas, pesca, tubos, kayak, piragüismo, paseos en vehículos todo terreno, fogatas, herraduras y mucho más. A Peaceful Pause to Life

We can’t say enough about the charm of this cabin. SO clean!!! We relaxed by the creek after spending our days hiking the beautiful trails this area has to offer. The daily visits from the turkeys was an added bonus!! Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise!!

Peaceful and beautiful

The cabin was just what we were looking for. My friend and I take time each year to reconnect with Our Lord Jesus Christ and this was a great place to do it. nick was great and the grounds were wonderful.

Big Creek Cabin

It’s not often that I write a review, but in this case it is warranted. The cabin was a true find. Clean , peaceful and well cared for. Wild life was abundant and provided hours of entertainment. It was a short drive to town and other points of interest. We had a chance to speak with Nick the host about the history of the cabin and could see the pride he has for both the cabin and the memories of the man who built it. The cabin is well stocked if you like to cook. The beds are very comfortable. Nick, thank you for sharing this beautiful place with us.

A little piece of Heaven!

This was a wonderful, peaceful experience. The communication beforehand was great, the cabin was clean (no weird smells either!), the ambiance was wonderful. Lots of wildlife, beautiful river to sit beside...I could to on and on!

Charming

This cabin is very charming, quiet, and tranquil. It is a slice of paradise. The smell of fresh pine and watching the wild life while drinking coffee in the mornings was very relaxing. My husband and I absolutely loved staying here. Thank you for sharing the cabin’s history and allowing us to rent it.

Relaxing Getaway

We love getting away Up North. The cabin has been well maintained with love and pride throughout its life. We enjoyed morning coffee listening to birds and watching lots of wildlife from the porch. The dock was perfect to experience yoga outdoors. The cabin is well equipped and has a great set up for cooking on the gas grill or on the campfire. Big Creek was cool and refreshing during the June heat wave. I even took a quick river tube ride from the main road to the cabin. We never left the property or turned the tv on. Just loved being outside, present in the moment enjoying nature. This is our fourth stay with at Nick and Laura's properties (first at the red cabin). Always great communication. Highly recommend.

Relaxing, enjoyable stay

Our stay at the Red Cabin was wonderful! My husband was the first one inside, and he came out and said "this is a really nice cabin!" I totally agreed with him! It was a great value for the money and had everything (and more) that you could possibly need - even scotch tape!! Immaculately clean and decorated so cute. Quiet area along the creek - we sat down on the dock and enjoyed the fall day with cocktails. Communication with the owners was first rate - they replied to our texts almost immediately and were very friendly. Ate 3 times at Ma Deeters - met the owner who was super nice, and watched the Lions game on the outside patio TV. Other than having a little trouble finding the cabin the first couple times (especially in the dark!) it was a perfect long weekend! We said we need to come back in the summer and enjoy the creek more. Now that we know how to find it, we'll have to come back!! Thanks for everything!

Better signage

The property was very clean. A little hard to find when you have never been in the area. The guys asked someone and they told him there wasn't such a place and that they were scammed. The one downside was not being able to fish off the dock in front of the cabin we understand the reasoning, but the main reason the three brothers gathered together was to go fishing. We weren't able to find a place to fish. The host was easy to communicate with and the price was reasonable. Great place to just relax.
