At the town's edge lies a sweeping sandy beach with rugged rocky outcrops on one side and the famed Banjo Pier on the other. Looe exudes a warm and welcoming ambience, particularly at New Year, when flocks of visitors come to join the fancy dress street party. For those with an appetite for adventure, the Looe to Polperro coast path offers a captivating half-day trek and the convenience of a bus ride back.
