Con techos altos y suelos de baldosas, el plan abierto ofrece vistas de las aguas azules del golfo y las playas de arena blanca de la sala de estar, el comedor, el estudio, la cocina, el dormitorio principal y el baño. La cocina bien equipada cuenta con una isla central con barra de desayuno. Asientos acogedores en el estudio con TV de pantalla plana. Location is excellent and the view and property are beautiful. Property did have smell of smoke in the kitchen trash area that didn’t fade. So we didn’t do too much in the kitchen.

We loved the wide variety of books available! It was nice to have laundry to use for free by the pool as well. It was also nice to have chairs and towels to sit by the gulf. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: EVERY MORNING I DREADED WAKING UP TO THE BLUE GULF. IN OHIO WE CAN WAKE UP TO SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW. JUST KIDDING ABOUT THE GULF. WE ALWAYS HAVE A GREAT TIME AT SAND CAY. BEER, WINE AND SAND IT DOES NOT GET MUCH BETTER. GOT TO KNOW THE GIRLS IN THE OFFICE THIS YEAR. WE HAD A SLIGHT PROBLEM BUT THEY TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING. GREAT JOB OFFICE. LOVE 317 SEE YOU AGAIN SOON.

great view, but the apartment is deteriorating

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: great view, but the apartment is falling into disrepair. We have been renting this apartment for many years and note with regret that the owner invests almost nothing in the property. it just pumps money out of what it has. the electric stove requires replacement, the guest toilet and shower were used by previous guests where they kept a cat (we can’t eliminate the smell of cat urine), there was no filter in the air conditioner (we immediately developed allergies), the mattresses were very hard, it felt like we were sleeping on boards, the towel holder is falling off the wall in the guest bathroom, the wicker chest in the living room is filled with dust and it would be better to throw it in the trash long ago (another source of allergies), the carpet in the bedrooms has not been changed for many years (another source of allergies, repainting is necessary, people in unit bellow were constantly smoking marijuana ( can enjoy our view from the balcony and smells in our unit too during a night)and etc.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had really high expectations for our unit due to the price we paid for the week and the pictures posted. We stayed in 317 and the view is to die for but the condo was filthy and the second I walked in I was hit with an old musty/moldy/cigarette smell. We got there just before the office closed and the day before a holiday so I couldn't mention it for a few days. This unit needs a major deep clean and refresher! Walls are all scuffed up, carpets are old and filthy, fridge had many dead ants inside, bathroom cabinet doors were cover in beauty porduct and beard hairs. Master shower soap holder was covered in old soap! Couches had stains and hair all over them. The back of the pillows were covered in black hair. Everytime I walked by or into the hallway bathroom it smelled like someone just smoked a pack of cigarettes in it. After a few days I couldn't stand it anymore and started looking for mold. The shower bench underneath was COVERED in BLACK FUZZY MOLD! It was all exposed wood that had rotted and molded causing the smell. I was furious at this point and ran down to the office to let them know. Melissa was very kind, understanding and accommodating. She moved us to a new unit and provided other accommodations for us. Location is nice and private and I'm sure there are units that are more taken care of and updated but 317 I DO NOT recommend until they remove the mold and CLEAN the unit

COVID Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was not our first time with Sand Cay, but our first time in #317. Our view of the beach from our condo was amazing. Exactly what we expected and were hoping for. We even got to enjoy 4th of July fireworks from our patio! The condo was the perfect size for our family. The updated master shower was great after a day at the beach. Our only complaint was that the master bed was too soft for our comfort. Outside of that one item, it was another amazing time at Sand Cay!

Unit #317 is "Tired & Worn" with a Musty Smell, Cockroaches, Sliding Screen Door is Broken, Kitchen Windows Don't Open, Mold in the toilet, Desperately Needs Paint, FILTHY DIRTY, Far from a Luxury Condo, Weeds growing on the deck, Mildew on Deck chairs. Wouldn't suggest unit #317 for any reason. Sand Cay is OK, but this unit is not worth the money! See some of my pictures on YouTube!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location, view and layout of the condo is fantastic, the beach was wonderful, and we had a great time. The office staff was responsive to our basic needs.The only problem is that this unit is promoted as a luxury condo and priced accordingly. Unfortunately, the entire unit needs to be painted and the worn carpets in both bedrooms replaced. Additionally, the smell of tobacco hung in the air. We opened all the windows, and sprayed a natural aerator to clear the air, however the smell remained. There were a few other minor items.#317 didn’t meet the standard for a luxury condo, but easily could.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 5th stay at Sand Cay in as many years. We were used to certain standards staying in 303, 304 and 318. The mattress needs to be taken out and burned. The main room is a mismash of furniture. It does not live up to the standards we are used to. I am disabled and worried everytime I took a shower because there are no safety bars. You would think for that much money the hall light bulb would work. We always make reservations for next year while we are there, but not this time. If we do change our minds it most certainly won't be 317!
