Lovely Hotel

Great one night stay on Saturday 25th Jan. We were attending an event at Venue Cymru, which is a ten minute walk away along the prom. Easy check in, and very nice clean room. We were on the first floor, but the room was located through a small warren of corridors and steps, not a problem for us. The bed was comfy, and the room was great for us. The bars and restaurants on Mostyn Street are a few minutes walk around the corner. We had a drink at The GOAT bar/restaurant, was very nice and well decorated. Would definitely stay here again!

The property is well located with free parking. Good to have a restaurant and bar on site. The room was clean but basic. There was a dirty towel which we asked to be swopped. The bar area was nice. We ate in the restaurant but didn’t enjoy the meal. Breakfast was fine but limited choice and nothing special. Receptionist and restaurant staff very friendly, bar staff seemed less so. Our room 103 was situated above the restaurant so we had issues with music and noise at times. The hotel was ok but personally wouldn’t stay there again.

Weekend stay at the Esplanade

We booked a standard double room with a King bed, but got a family room with a double and a single. Although it wasn't what we'd booked the room was nice and big with a decent sized bathroom. Bed was nice and comfortable, even if it wasn't what had expected. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful throughout the stay.

We were impressed by the clean, modern look within what was a traditional building. The facilities in the bar and dining room were so modern. I wish we'd stayed longer. The room we had was spacious and the decoration subtle.

Location & staff were very good. We chose Continental breakfast which was excellent & good value for money. We had dinner twice in the restaurant which again was excellent & good value. The single rooms were adequate but would benefit from some updating. There was no suitcase stand in the room so unpacking/packing had to be done on floor, which was very awkward. Overall a good experience & we would book here again.
